Re: Thinking about making a Dizzy fan game using the Thief 2 Editor...

Now that TROTB 2 is close to being done beta-testing and then get released, I'm going to resume working on this project. I'd better get crackin'. :dizzy_wink:

No disappointments here.
Sounds like it's going to take some time to get it the way you want it. I wish you the best of luck on this project. :v2_dizzy_thumbsup:

This sounds pretty cool. I have a question about models. What file types can the Unity engine use? I know some editors can use 3ds or obj files. I can create those in the program anim8or.

Project's at a slow crawl...

:v2_dizzy_rolleyes: I know it's been quite a while since I've logged in. Things have been quite busy for me lately. I'm still working on this project, but it's at a slow crawl right now. TROTB 2 is still priority one. The good news is that TROTB 2 is one step from going beta. Once that happens, I sh...

It's a shame that didn't go through. Nintendo really had a stick up their butt at that time when it came to their licensing. Can you imagine the music for it on the SNES? I'm glad that it came for the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive, though.

I have a bit of sad news. I'm going to have to have the down the rapids mission cut. The outcome of the behavior of the water is a bit random when it comes to staying on top of it and in quite a few cases the player would get stuck on the walls. I guess Thief 2 wasn't made for that. Oh well. I'll ke...

OK, now that I've got some things worked out in RL, I'm now back on this project. I'll post some more stuff here once I have something. But I think I'll redo most of what I have. Also, there is something I would like to ask. Are there any voice actors around on this forum? I'd figure that we need th...

Texture Question...

I know that it's been a long time since I've put up any progress, but I'm still taking this on. There is one thing that I need to ask. Should I make a complete set of custom textures or should I just use the default Thief 2 textures? The nice thing about making my own is that I can put in materials ...

I'm finally getting back to work on this...

Just letting everyone know that this is still in the works. Things have been a bit busy at my end, but I haven't given up on this just yet. I've decided to use the NES red version of the Yolk Folk Home. I still need to make all of the characters. So, yeah. This is still active, but kind of slow going.
