Thanks Benefactor. Glad you like the 'normal' games. Maybe Dora will grow on you :v2_dizzy_eek:

Re: Beginners need help

Kalle, There's no difference between 'ida' and 'idx' ...or whatever you want to call a tag. All that matters is that the tag identifies a specific object/brush in the function being used. Just remember that tags have to be identified in each separate function before using them in a command. I like t...

Re: Beginners need help

Kalle, just give the coin an id number and set it as disabled (just like any other hidden object) but still give it a class of 'coin' Then when the puzzle is solved add the line ida = ObjFind(444) //id of disabled coin ObjSet(ida, O_DISABLE, 0); //make the coin visible You need the id number so that...

Re: Sound in DEV-MODE silent

Hmm, try checking the following: 1) your speakers are turned on 2) the sound card is OK (check other programs) 3) the sound hasn't been turned down in the config file (picture of Dizzy called 'set up') 4) the file exists in the 'music' and 'sound' folders (and isn't an mp3 file) 5) there isn't a 'Mu...

Re: Beginners need help

Glad we were able to help Kalle. When I made my very first game (the original Daisy goes Solo from 2009, not the 2018 version) I knew nothing about 'proper' programming, so in the Game.GS file I actually included written details of everything I did, including things that could go wrong, If it helps,...

Re: Beginners need help

Not sure what you're trying to achieve but assume that having given Dylan a key you're changing the 'picture' of Dylan from sad to happy. If so, then you need to identify the tile you're moving before setting the new coordinates ...and check that the layer is correct as having a new tile appear that...

Re: Daisy Goes Solo (2018) (HELP THREAD)

I don't mind giving full disclosure on this thread Sun as the game is really old now. Let's start with the old 'dinger'. You need to talk to all four monks on the top floor of the temple (they also give clues about solving various temple puzzles) and give the gold from the Yeti's house to the other ...

Put something containing some liquid into the disrupter on magic island to turn it into a bottle of wine :v2_dizzy_clapping:

Re: Daisy Goes Solo (2018) (HELP THREAD)

You need to move the pot to the other end of the altar to open the left hand door. What's that? It's too heavy. Hmm, seems like you're going to need a strength potion. Luckily Glenda the witch on Starfish Island has plenty of the stuff ...for a price! :v2_dizzy_cool: Those vines need a good slashing...

Re: Daisy Goes Solo (2018) (HELP THREAD)

I really should keep notes of my games instead of having to load up the map and try and remember what happens :hitwall: OK Sun, It seems that for the mouse/rat to push the gold down the hole (to the same part of the cave as the ball drops to), you have to lift the floorboard (that is just left of th...
