Is this the worst Dizzy game ever made?

Of course it is - what a silly question.
Like someone's already posted, it's just the game with his face tacked onto it. A bit like Mario Golf. Or Mario Tennis. Or Super Marios Bros 2.... (hehe)

What does everyone think?

Well I agree with the fact it was just a game with Dizzy's face on it, although I was quite addicted to the Spectrum version.

I have a magazine review of the game from 1993 which states: "Dizzy? Nah! He's no more a part of this than I am the bass guitarist for Fuzzbox".
It's not as if there was a great deal of gameplay either; it was little more than a test of how quick your reactions were.
Although, having said that, it was nicely presented, and the music was fairly catchy.

I liked the game for what it was...
Didnt like it too much for the loosly based Dizzy material. But as a stand alone game with those falling blocks, twas ok.
Could have been called anything Factory Panic (swear thats already a game), taken Dizzy out completly and sold a few.

Agreed, it would have been better as a standalone game!

And yes it was a unoriginal puzzle game with dizzy sprites all over it :v2_dizzy_confused2:

You could really argue that for any of the Dizzy arcade games I would think. . :v2_dizzy_confused2: I would say Fast Food was more of a rip then Panic Dizzy, Dizzy Down the Rapids was probably the most original of the arcade games, and even then, I'm almost certain it was copied from another game.. can't remember exactly what it was called.. Floom? :dizzy_confused:

Panic Dizzy is an alright game though. I found it kind of boring at first, but once you get the hang of it it's not too bad, definately more fun on a 16bit platform though.

I've got a feeling that the game that Dizzy Down the Rapids was based on was called Toobin.

Indeed it was Andy C.
Trouble is back then (and indeed still today) there is a lack of 'original' ideas for games and the moment one of these rarities comes along.. its staurised by the rest of the gaming industry and is no longer unique.
Tis a shame. Perhaps someone should try and copyright a genre of game rather than a brand.

its okay, but its is the worse dizzy arcade game.. but all dizzy arcade games just have his face stamped on.. but they are fun to play, and i guess they did to sell more and to stand out from over simile games..

But theres another reasons.. they are Puzzle games of sorts which is the whole point to the regaler dizzy games.. so i don't have a problem with them..

"Just thinking about 'Dizzy Panic' makes me shudder".

That's a quote from the egg himself in the fan game 'Dizzy's Normal Day'.

It looks like he would agree with his fans in his assessment of the game! :D
