A farewell to Peter Teal

Post by Adz.M » Tue Feb 19, 2013 6:38 pm

Peter Teal, the founder of Yolkfolk.com and the site's Web Programmer has sadly chosen to leave his post in the Dizzy Community to pursue other interests.

His interest in the site started to fade following recent events, such as the fate of Dizzy Returns and there being no more games for iOS/Android forthcoming, which left him feeling that now's the right time to leave.

We all like to thank him for everything he has done for us for the past several years and wish him all the best for the future, Peter will be heavily missed and never forgotten.

Well i guess one can't be expected to do the same thing over and over. I guess it's time for him to open a new chapter. However, there is no reason for him not to return in the future. Dizzy is for life not just for easter, :say_yes:

I'd have hoped that this would have been in the newsletter before a public forum announcement, however...

Peter had been a massive influence on this site since conception and I have confirmed with him that there will always be a position available any time he would like to come back and say hello :) :v2_dizzy_cry:

While Peter has gone on to pursue new ventures, I would like to say that this community is as busy and 'collaborative' as ever.

I would like to personally, publicly thank Peter for all his help since 1997 :)

All the best

That's to bad. Good luck Peter in whatever you are to do.

I really hope someone takes up Spellbound. That would be a tremendous lose if it goes unfinished. This probably means that Crystal Kingdom will never be remade now too. :v2_dizzy_down:

Adz.M I think you mean the opposite of "rekindled".

Edited above post.

I knew somewhere I was gonna screw something up posting this. :embarassed: I only posted what Peter had said to us before he went.

My apologies, my mind just isn't what it used to be. :hitwall:

I hope somebody will finish the Spellbound Remake too.
As for a Crystal Kingdom remake, well any DizzyAGE user is welcome to attempt that anytime.

I've just saw this.
I hope Peter gets to work on other amazing stuff as well. I'm glad I got the chance to met him.
We'll definitely miss him here and we all are grateful for his remakes!
Good luck with your future projects, Peter!

Alex
