Hosting sites

Post by Grandad » Thu Sep 12, 2013 4:49 pm

Are there any 'hosting sites' that you can just upload DizzyAge games to for AdzM to download from rather than sending him an email with the game as an attachment. I don't want to start a website or anything, just upload the games once they're ready for publishing ...preferably cheap as my latest game might well get into 8 meg if I want to use certain music.

We offer a service for you to do that. As long as its dizzy related, its free.
I can set you up an online section on the server and you can upload there

Thanks, that would be perfect as it would only be my 'new' Dizzy (or Daisy etc) games cos sending them by email is a real pain and AOL often crashes halfway through and I have to start again ...and again!

My 'current' game is my own version of Spellbound Dizzy which is basically very similar (to the Amiga version) but with some differences in layout and puzzles and would like to include the original Amiga music which is 5 meg.

Shall I pm you when I'm ready to upload it?

I must be the most dense person on this site. I've finished the game and zipped it up and thought now to upload it. So logged on and all I can find was an option to download. I have no idea how I upload my zipped file. Help!!!

As soon as you login. Theres a link to 'upload' under the Yolkfolk.com, top left of the screen.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. Didn't realise that you had to run the mouse under the logo to show the 'upload' link. It worked perfectly first time and only took about 30 seconds (unlike the old AOL email which took up to 3 minutes). :v2_dizzy_thumbsup:

So where does the zip file go exactly once It's been uploaded?

I've got no way of finding and downloading it myself so I can add it to the games database. :v2_dizzy_confused2:
