That is a lot of work you have put into this, so well done :v2_dizzy_clapping:
My comment would be though that should non-Dizzy games be on you list, for example Spuds Quest and Mystik Belle? These games are similar in style to the classic Dizzy arcade adventure games but in real terms have nothing to do with the Dizzy universe other than similar style gameplay and that they were seemingly written by Dizzy fans.
That's my 2 gold coins worth, but at the end of the day, it is your list so your rules, and that is of course your prerogative.

+___Hi, FrogAndHat.
+___Yes, the idea did cross my mind that not all of the 396 Dizzy games are strictly games with Dizzy as a superstar or at least with some of the Yolk Folk characters (Daisy, Dora and so on). The problem is that I do not know all of these 396 Dizzy games. I am now playing only my fifteenth Dizzy game, so I am just a newbie with an insignificant knowledge of only about 5% of the total Dizzy universe.
+___I have removed so far only a single game that was featuring only Seymour. I have saved a Dizzy game featuring both Dizzy and Seymour.
+___I did not know anything about Spud. I thought he might be Dizzy's grandson or something. Of course, I am removing it.
+___About "Mystic Belle" I had only a small Russian note that specified that it is 15 MB in size, probably huge for a small adventure game. I am removing it also.
+___This is not my list. If it had been strictly only mine, I would have kept it only for myself. I welcome any criticism that is brought to its faults.
+___Boo has already certified that Spindizzy is also not a Dizzy game and I have removed it.
+___I do not want to venture into removing any other Dizzy games only based on their titles because that road could be misleading. The titles might not contain Dizzy's name and yet the games could be Dizzy or Yolk Folk related.
+___If anybody finds any other non-Dizzy games, please just let me know and I shall remove them.
+___Initially, I was interested only in the list of Dizzy adventure games, but I have preserved the Dizzy arcade games just because they were featuring Dizzy or the other Yolk Folk eggs.
+___Note that by removing some titles, the numbering will be messed up. Some holes will be created due to the removal of the non-Dizzy games. I shall have to renumber a few games at the end of the list in order to fill in those holes.

A little something I like to add.
"Block Dizzy", "Dizzy Dice" and "Dizzy Lord" are NOT Dizzy games and have nothing to do with the Dizzy universe.

Another thing that puzzles me is why have you marked "The Adventures of Dizzy Junior" as not hosted on Yolkfolk when we do have it on the site titled as Sacred World Dizzy?
http://www.yolkfolk.com/games/sacred-world-dizzy

I completely forgot about 'Time Travel Dizzy', I was about to add the demo sometime ago but the only link on the DizzyAGE site no longer works. :(

I'm not sure if the Dizzy clones count as being part of the Dizzy universe even though some of them we have hosted on the site anyway like the Giddy games and the early version of Spud's Quest.

I'll be honest, I really do admire your strong interest with the Dizzy fan titles. :say_yes: :v2_dizzy_clapping:

I have removed so far only a single game that was featuring only Seymour. I have saved a Dizzy game featuring both Dizzy and Seymour.

Just out of curiosity, what was that Seymour title you removed from the list?

+___Hi, Adz.M.
+___Alright, I have removed "Block Dizzy", "Dizzy Dice" and "Dizzy Lord".
+___Let us see. The problem with "The Adventures of Dizzy Junior" is that its title appears on the http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site only in the screen-shot of "Sacred World Dizzy".
+___While I was compiling the list, I had a few Dizzy games lists that I had to merge. Because I am not entirely a machine yet, I did not merge these two titles accordingly.
+___I have now removed the separate entry for "The Adventures of Dizzy Junior" from the list and I have added this alias: 2,011-01-DD: "Sacred World Dizzy".
+___There is a problem with the aliases, for the newbies. Nowhere on the http://yolkfolk.com website it is mentioned that "Dizzy II: Treasure Island Dizzy" is the same one as "Magic Island Dizzy". Google is my best friend, in this respect.
+___This actually inserts an ambiguity. Now I have two - hopefully different - entries that can be both addressed as "Magic Island Dizzy":
+_______1,988-08-DD: "Dizzy II: Treasure Island Dizzy (Magic Island Dizzy)
+_______1,992-09-DD: "Dizzy - Magic Island"
+___I have already removed "Spud's Quest". If it is considered appropriate, I can also remove the Giddy series.
+___Also, nowhere on the http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site it is mentioned that there is an IBM-PC Remake of "Dizzy III: Fantasy World Dizzy[i/]" that is playable through DOSBox. I have played it recently and I have marked it within the list as Y,YYY-MM-DD: "[i]Dizzy III.C: Fantasy World Dizzy" (DOSBox Remake). I guess that this is just the tip of the iceberg of the set of Dizzy games that belong to different platform implementations.
+___Actually, I was wrong. The http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site does not store the IBM-PC version, but it does list its existence within the "Release Formats" list as "IBM-PC Compatibles: MS-DOS" and it provides a screenshot that is common both for Atari-ST and for IBM-PC MS-DOS. The binary executable file that I have found on abandonware websites is called as "FANTASY.EXE". So this is actually not a remake, but rather it is simply the platform implementation on IBM-PC MS-DOS at that time.
+___The Seymour game that I have removed was "Seymour – Take One" (Amstrad CPC/ZX Spectrum). This entry was in a Russian list. When I was a teenager, I remember having played this one and "Seymour at the Movies". They were a lot shorter than the Dizzy adventure games.
+___It is funny to note that this whole seeking process has started from the fact that I was frustrated that I did not know either of the Czech language, the Polish language or the Russian language and I just wanted to play some more Dizzy adventure games. I had no idea that there were 396 of them already out there.

+___Hi, everyone.
+___Finally, I have achieved my goal.
+___The list is finally finished!
+___For my last wish, the one of inserting also the won prizes and won points within the contests, I hoped that I would be able to find sufficient information on the Dizzy historical web pages. Unfortunately, they have been overwritten each year.
+___I have looked again into the details of the Dizzy games and also on Wikipedia for prizes that have been awarded by computer magazines such as "Your Sinclair", "Crash", "Zzap!64", "Eurogamer" and "Amstrad Action". I have inserted all the data that I could find.
+___I have also inserted a few more dates related to the beginning and to the ending of the various contests.
+___I have understood that within the http://www.yolkfolk.com domain whatever I was referring to as "platform implementations" are referred to as "release formats". Therefore, I shall also use the "release formats" term from now on.
+___I have removed the "Mystic Belle" title, the "Spud" title, the "Giddy" series of titles, the two "Poonsy" titles and the "Clover" title from the list.
+___Also, the author of the comprehensive list of Dizzy games warmly invites any honest criticism. Any found faults will be corrected, once they are proved to be accurate.
+___I have introduced the release formats within the list. This way, the Dizzy game count has risen to 396. I am presenting the Comprehensive List of Dizzy Games.
+___If you are curious about the distribution of the Release Formats within the 396 titles, here is the list:
+_________1 Google Android
+_________1 Gameboy Advance
+_________1 Sega: Master System
+_________1 Sega: Mega Drive
+_________1 Unknown Release Format

+___Hi, everyone.
+___Please note that 45 titles (12 %) are marked as "(Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com )". Therefore, only 345 titles are currently present within the http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site.
+___Also, apparently it is possible that there are other titles on the http://www.dizzy.pl web-site that are not on the list.
+___I hope that as many missing Dizzy games as possible will be found in the near future. Needless to say that anybody is welcome to say whether they have these missing titles or whether they have heard anything at all about them.
+___Initially, I wanted to create a separate thread for the 45 titles that are not on the http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site. However, for the moment I am pasting the pieces of information that I have found about them here. If it is considered appropriate, a "Lost and Found" thread can be created using this data.
+___Out of the 45 missing titles, I have found 23 of them using the Google search engine and marked them with the "Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com, but I have found it with Google" character string. Therefore, only 22 titles are really missing and marked with the "I could not find this title yet" character string.
+___12 out of the 18 missing titles from the category "Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48 KB" listed above can be found in the private collection of another Romanian, George Chirtoacă, who still keeps them freely downloadable from the Uniform Resource Locator http://sites.google.com/site/georgechir ... edirects=0 within a "Dizzy.zip" archive.
+___Since most of the Romanian Sinclair ZX Spectrum unofficial clones (HC-85, HC-88, HC-90, HC-91, HC-2000, CIP-01, CIP-02, CIP-03, CIP-04, Tim-S, Cobra, Junior, Jet, Prae, Cub) were 48 KB-based, also George Chirtoacă's "Dizzy.zip" archive contains only 48 KB ".tap" binary files.
+___Also, please note that out of the 396 overall known titles, 19 of them (5 %) are not dated and they appear within the list preceded by the "Y,YYY-MM-DD" character string. All of the remaining 371 titles have at least the year as a known part of the release date.
+___This is the distribution of the 45 missing titles based on their release formats.
+_________1 Unknown Release Format
+_________1 Sega: Game Gear
+_________1 Amiga
+_________1 DizzyAGE
+_________4 Microsoft Windows 32 bits
+_________5 Sinclair ZX Spectrum 128 KB
+_________6 Sinclair ZX Spectrum TR-DOS
+_________8 IBM-PC Compatibles: MS-DOS
+________18 Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48 KB
+___This is the list of the 45 missing titles, ordered by their release formats.
+_____1 Unknown Release Format
+_________Y,YYY-MM-DD: "Dizzy for zx-pk.ru" (Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com ) (Is it a ZX Spectrum 48K title?)
+_____________The only data that I have found out about this title so far lies at the http://dizzy.ucoz.ru/walk/dizzyfor.txt Uniform Resource Locator, in the Russian Language. Using Google Translate, I have gotten the following walk-through:
+_____________"Go to the right and on the cloud, take a coin. Give it to someone in the bottom left corner. It will turn into the drive and try escape, you need to have time to catch it, or will have to start over again. Give the resulting disk to the programmer. get tablet strength. Eat it and break the stone on the left to get a coin. Go right and break the stone dam. Give coin penguins. Go right and talk to the badger. Go left and talk to Bart administrator. Left from a place where there was a stone wall, grab the mushrooms. Give them to the administrator. Go down and pick up the fallen pass. Give it a badger."
+_____________It looks to be either an incomplete game, or just a demo version. The http://zx-pk.ru Russian web-site seems to be somehow related to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum microcomputer.
+_____________I could not find this title yet.
+_____1 Sega: Game Gear
+_________1,991-04-DD: FAD.d: "Fantastic Dizzy (Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy)" (Sega: Game Gear) (Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com , but I have found it with Google)
+_____________I have found this title at the http://coolrom.com/roms/gamegear/7353/F ... _Dizzy.php Uniform Resource Locator within the "Fantastic Dizzy.zip" archive as the "Fantastic Dizzy.gg" binary file. One needs an emulator to play this title.
+_____1 Amiga
+_________1,994-01-DD: (Dizzy VII++ or Dizzy IX:) "Christmas Dizzy" (Amiga) (Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com )
+_____________This seems to be a magazine game. At the http://www.samsolutions.co.uk/dizzy/gam ... -games.htm Uniform Resource Locator, it is written the following story:
+_____________"This game was given away with Amiga Power Issue 33 (it was on Disk 1). It was basically a preview of Fantastic Dizzy for the Amiga and contained one of the "game maps" and the sliding puzzle subgame."
+_____________You have everything about this title at the http://hol.abime.net/496 Uniform Resource Locator. There, it appears under the "Fantastic Dizzy" title, with the "Christmas Dizzy" pre-release name. This web page has loads of information about this title and links towards other websites, which in turn also seem to maintain a lot of information about this title.
+_____________I could not find this title yet.
+_____1 DizzyAGE
+_________2,011-03-22: "Time Travel Dizzy" (DizzyAGE) (Lost) (Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com )
+_____________Adz.M once said that this demo title has been somehow lost.

+_________2,003-MM-DD: "Jungleland Dizzy" (Demo) (Windows 32bit) (Lost) (Not on http://www.yolkfolk.com )

+_____________This title should not be confused with the "Dizzy9.tap" binary file with a size of 25,642 bytes that is included within the "Dizzy.zip" archive that is downloadable from the http://sites.google.com/site/georgechir ... edirects=0 Uniform Resource Locator.

I think I can help with this update.

Just to point out that if you've been using the search engine on Yolkfolk, in some places it provides outdated links.

Adventureland Dizzy" (2,001 Demo) (Broken Link)

The broken link has been fixed.
:egg: http://www.yolkfolk.com/games/adventure ... -2001-demo

Dizzy R" (Windows 32bit) (Lost) (Not in YolkFolk.com)

This game isn't lost it all, it can be found here and the download link has been tested.
(Although it used to be called 'Dizzy R Remake', but I recently updated and renamed it to just 'Dizzy R'.)
:egg: http://www.yolkfolk.com/games/dizzy-r-1

"Dizzy and the Pit" (Windows 32bit) (Not in YolkFolk.com)

This game was only made in Flash, the release format marked on the site is possibly an error.

One last thing, some of the Spectrum titles you've listed as "not on Yolkfolk.com". The later Spectrum model and the Emulators are able to play the same certain Dizzy ROM on either 128k or 48k.
So technically, some of the 48k games are on Yolkfolk, It's just the site labels them in a way to say which games work in 128k mode.

+___Hi, Adz.M.
+___Thank you for replying to my post and for your valuable comments.
+___I agree with everything that you have said and I have already updated the list accordingly.
+___However, there is an exception. I do not agree with you regarding the titles that belong to the Sinclair ZX Spectrum release formats.
+___My idea was like this. If a title is marked within the http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site as having all of the three possible Sinclair ZX Spectrum release formats (48 KB, 128 KB, and TR-DOS), then I would have to go out there and try to find all of the three different-sized files.
+___Why? Let me give you my recent experience.
+___After twenty-five years, I have played "Dizzy V: Spellbound Dizzy", because it is huge (well, not as huge as "Dizzy and Zaks' Ring" that I have just finished tonight) and the original Sinclair ZX Spectrum release formats do not have the feature of saving the game state. So, twenty-five years ago I left it unfinished and this time I really wanted to finish it.
+___Since I have found a very nice Sinclair ZX Spectrum emulator, namely "Spectaculator", that can save the whole memory at once and that can also insert POKE's into the emulated microcomputer memory, I have nicely finished the game.
+___To my surprise, I have seen a recording of the game afterward where it looked completely different! Dizzy was wearing an aqualung and the screens were from times to times commented by scrolls found on the way. I was completely disappointed! While browsing the Wikipedia entry for the game, I have found out that the 128 KB version of the game had a few features that the 48 KB version did not have! For instance, it had different power-ups: bananas, strawberries and not just plain apples.
+___Due to this poor and disappointing gaming experience, I have decided that I do not want to trick the gamers at all. Of course, I understand your point, it is very logical. Basically, any 48 KB game can be played on a 128 KB microcomputer. The vice-versa situation might not always be true. However, I prefer to let the list be like this in this respect, just in order to be as precise as possible.
+___The best example in this respect is the title 1,993-MM-DD: (Dizzy VII+ or Dizzy VIII.a:) "Last Will Dizzy: The Last Adventure". For this title, I have found two "Dizzy9.tap" binary files. The first one has a size of 25,642 bytes for the 48 KB version. The second one has a size of 46,645 bytes for the 128 KB version. This case is as clear as it can be.
+___There is another situation where I feel that I might be tricking the gamers. I do not speak the Polish language at all. Well, I know that "Always Coca-Cola" is something like "Zawsze Coca-Cola". However, I have browsed tonight the twenty-six web pages of the http://www.dizzy.pl web-site and I have found out some Polish-only titles that seem not to be within the http://www.yolkfolk.com web-site. If I were truly an egoistic fellow, I would just ignore them completely. But, since there are a lot of Polish gamers out there (and Poland is geographically bigger than Romania), I intend to include those titles in the list as well, soon.

+___Hi, everyone.
+___I have found eight more Dizzy games that are present within the http://www.dizzy.pl website and that are not present within the http://www.yolkfolk.com website.
+___The game details appear within the twenty-six web-pages that start with the http://www.dizzy.pl/gry/gry/gry.shtml Uniform Resource Locator.
