Work on The Dizzy Book is progressing slowly. I’ve got The Oliver Twins on board who have promised all the co-operation they can including access to rare materials. My main problem is getting them as they live over 150 miles away and I have no car. I’ve conducted an interview with Matt Gray who composed the music to the C64 version of Treasure Island Dizzy and hope to conduct more interviews.
However, I’m finding it slow work doing all the work myself, so am going to open the door for submissions from the fans..
I’m offering a small fee (£1 or £2 – I can’t afford more as I’m financing this myself without external funds) for any review of any Dizzy game on any format. Amstrad CPC, Sinclair Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST, Sega machines, Nintendo NES.. They just need to be around 500 words and honest. They also need a mark out of ten. The best review received before September 1st, 2015 will win a £10 prize and a free copy of both the text-only Kindle version and the full-colour PDF version (both upon publication).
Just send an e-mail to me at firstname.lastname@example.org with the title DIZZY REVIEWS in the subject line with your review. Do not worry about spelling or punctuation as it can be corrected later. There is no limit to how many reviews you can send, you’ll get paid for each one. Also mention if you want your real name used or if you prefer, your Yolkfolk.com username (this will need to be added to the message).
