Item solutions (All versions)

- Trampette: Pick it up and take it from one side of the pit to the other. You can then bounce out of the pit.

- Rocks: There are 4 rocks in the quarry. The more you carry, the further you will fall down the windy shaft. Rocks will smash if you drop them anywhere except on the clouds or the scales near Grand Dizzy (which you should do in order to get to Grand-Dizzy). They then return to the quarry. Because you have to use the Trampette to get back to the shaft you can only take n-1 rocks back to the shaft if n is the number of items you can have in your inventory (first 2 then 4 when you get the bag). Store the rocks in the clouds near the shaft in order to take more down with you.

- Brake shoe: Use this on the mine cart so that you don't go flying to your death after jumping across the lake.

- Hammer: Use this to fix the mine cart track and also to knock the plug off a pipe in the pumping station. This floods the area with water.

- Sack: Lets you carry 4 objects.

- Megaphone: Shout to Dylan who is stuck in the rock.

- Ear trumpet: This is Grand-Dizzy's magic object. It also lets you hear Dylan's reply if you are carrying it. You can then get his vibes (his magic object).

- Gold Shamrock: Give this to the leprachaun and he will give you the weird talisman.

- Weird Talisman: Use this to get past the underwater monster. You have to be quick or you'll drown!

- Aqualung: Breath under water.

- Umbrella: Has the opposite effect of the rocks. The hot air from the shaft blasts you high into the air. If you're not carrying any logs you can get up to the fireflies.

- Jar and lid: Trap a firefly in the jar to let you see in the dark cave. Put the jar on a cloud and wait till a firefly flies into it. Then use the lid on the jar. You can also fill the jar with honey from the bee and give it to the bear. Then, bounce over the bear using the mushrooms.

- Soggy log: Make it smolder by putting it next to the fire in the room with Dylan. Use the smoldering log to ward off the killer Bee's and get the honey.

- Pepper: Make the whale sneeze. He will spout water through his blowhole allowing you to get to some clouds (on the right) with the flippers. Or you can go left to find Denzil. This takes a lot of practice!

- Bones: Use them on the man-eating plant and it will swallow you taking you to the cave with Daisy and the garlic.

- Garlic: Use it to ward off the vampire bats in the dark cave.

- ZX81: Operates the pumping atation. You can then jump into the pipe and go to the pumping area to find Dozy and the net.

- Fishing Net: Catch Pogie the fluffle and take his collar (his magic object).

- Flippers: Allows you to swim up by pressing space and access higher areas.

- To get back home yourself you need to make a Kite. This acts like the umbrella but is even more powerful throwing you right up to the top of the cave. You can then get to the Drilling Machine and complete the game by putting the Drill Bit into the machine. To make the kite you need the Sticky Tape, the Cloth and the Sticks. Theo gives you one of these objects when you give him enough stars to go home (once you've rescued everyone else).
The others are to be found in three secret areas. Try jumping into the walls at the bottom of the huge lake (with the whale at the surface), the room with Dylan stuck in the rock and the pumping area (right hand side near Dozy). The last secret room is The Illusion with invisible platforms: very tricky! The other objects in the game are the Yolkfolk's magic objects or red herrings.
