TREASURE ISLAND DIZZY

Thank you for calling the Treasure Island Dizzy, ST and Amiga helpline.
Please remember that this phone call is more expensive than a normal phone call, and you must ask permission from the person who pays the phonebill.
Only stay on the line as long as you have to, as the full solution will shorten your enjoyment of the game.

So here is the complete solution to Treasure Island Dizzy.

Take the chest to the bottom of the cliff and drop it.
Climb on the chest and jump left.
Walk over the bridge, past the grave and into the treehouse complex.
Beware of the bees, they may have a strange effect on you if you touch them.
The treehouse complex is a maze, too difficult to describe, so you should explore it yourself.
When you are close to the top of the screen, you should jump to see what is above you.
You should be careful of the cages, especially the one on the bottom far left and the one along the ledge brought down by the weight.  

You should find a ten tonne weight and a snorkel at the top left of the trees.
Pick up the snorkel and the weight, take the snorkel to the screen with two bees and take the weight to the hook in the middle of the complex.
Attaching the weight to the hook will cause the ledge to fall.
This opens another route for Dizzy to explore.
Along this route you should be able to find a remote detonator and a grave diggers spade but watch out for the cage on the screen above.
From the edge, jump as far right as you can.
You should land on some clouds with a pogo stick above you.
Work your way around the clouds and collect the pogo stick.

Fall out of the clouds, left and swap the detonator for the snorkel and go back to the beach.
Leave everything except the snorkel which should be carried in the lowest slot, to avoid putting it down accidentally, and jump into the water.

Make sure you avoid the creatures, they are all deadly except one.
Jump over the crab on the shipwreck and pick up the salt water crowbar. 
You must go back onto the beach and hold the following in this order: crowbar, spade and snorkel.
Use the crowbar to lift the wobbly rock to the right of the ship wreck.
As you do this, bubbles are released from the passageway below, which you can jump down.
You should ride on the bubbles, which should take you to the second island.

Pick up the axe next to the grave.
This can be used for cutting through the bridge on the first island.
Use the grave diggers spade to enter the cave below.
Make sure you're holding the snorkel as you will fall into water.
Go left to find the dynamite, the fish can be avoided by following it closely as it exits the screen to the left.
Go back to the first island and leave the axe on the beach.

Pick up the detonator and proceed to the mine.
Drop the dynamite by the rock pile, then stand behind the large rock to the right of you and drop the remote detonator.
You will now be able to get the bag of gold coins and a magic stone that you will need later on.

Go back to the beach and pickup the pogo stick and the snorkel only.
Go into the water and jump where the scroll that says "Official Pogo Place" is.
You will fly up to the island in the sky and then you will find a fireproof suit.
Walk left off the island onto the mast of the ship to collect the coin as you re-enter the water and then walk off left.
The suit can be used in the smugglers cave below the grave.
Go to the far right of the cave.
There are some barrels to jump over along with some flames, which would normally kill you, but by wearing the fireproof suit, you'll be protected.

Go past the flames to a temple passageway, jump the gap that says "ROB" which leads to a golden egg on an alter.
This can be collected by standing on the left of the alter.
It is very important that you are on the left edge of the alter.
Pick up the egg an run down as fast as you can.  

As soon as you reach the next screen, immediately stop, as there are some falling rocks which you will want to avoid and be careful no to fall down the gap.
Now return to the surface and leave the golden egg and the fireproof suit and collect the bible which is next to the totem pole.
Now return to the first island.

Now hold the axe, the bible and the snorkel and cut the bridge.
Once you have fallen through, go left and up back through the grave.
The treasure is cursed, and you'll be struck by lightning if you take the treasure without holding the bible.

Go back onto the bridge and rearrange your objects so that you have a nothing slot at the top and both the snorkel and the bible.
Now drop back into the water under the bridge.
Now you can get the treasure which is on the screen to the right.
Go back to the beach.
Pick up the magic stone and go back to the totem pole on the second island.
Drop the magic stone at the base of the totem pole and you'll be magically transported to the top of the pole.
Pick up the flippers on the clouds to the right of you.
Make sure you don't fall off the clouds before you get the flippers as there is no way to return here.

The flippers can be used by the more adventurous of you, to enter the passageway below the wobbly rock where you will find a coin.

Go right from here, past the store.
You'll find a large brass key on the pier.
This is used to gain access to the trap door between the smugglers cave and the Roman stone passage.
There you'll find some vintage brandy.

Now you have collected all four valuable items: the golden egg, the bag of coins, Hook Jaw's treasure and the vintage brandy.

Take the objects that you have found on your travels to the storekeeper.
In return for these he will give you a boat, a motor, a can of petrol and an ignition key.
Take them to the pier and drop them into the water and jump onto the moving boat.
The boat will take you to the mainland, but you must have all 30 gold coins with you to pay the storekeepers twin brother.

That completes the solution for Treasure Island Dizzy.

WHERE TO FIND THE GOLD COINS:

--- 1st Coin:- Just after you have jumped from the beach on the chest, on the next screen you will see a rock. It is on the rock.
--- 2nd Coin:- Is behind the door of the first hut that you come to on the edge of the treehouse complex. Go to the door and try picking it up.
--- 3rd Coin:- If you go underneath this first hut and stay on the ground level, and go into the centre of the treehouse on this level, there is one next to the cage.
--- 4th Coin:- Is at the bottom of the treehouse on the far left screen, but watch out for the cage above you.
--- 5th Coin:- Is in the treehouse, just up the path from where you hang the weight on the hook.
--- 6th Coin:- The first bee that you come across,  just as you have climbed up the chest at the cliff will turn into a coin if you hit him.
--- 7th Coin:- There is another coin just above the cage on the far left, just behind the door of that hut.
--- 8th Coin:- There is another one above the mine entrance. You have to jump out of the treehouse to get the height to pick it up.
--- 9th Coin:- On the right hand side of the treehouse, you will find one on the second screen up.
--- 10th Coin:- On the screen above the centre cage, there is one in the open.
--- 11th Coin:- This one is on the starting screen in the water. You will need the snorkel to pick this one up.
--- 12th Coin:- There is another coin on the left edge of the shipwreck.
--- 13th Coin:- This one can be found in the passageway under the wobbly rock.
--- 14th Coin:- There is a coin in the bottom of the sea to the far left, after you have travelled on the bubble up onto ledge.
--- 15th Coin:- On the screen with the two bees, the top bee also changes into a coin when you hit him.
--- 16th Coin:- There is a coin on the mast of the shipwreck, which you can only get to from the island in the sky.
--- 17th Coin:- There is also one on the three barrels at the back of the smugglers cave.
--- 18th Coin:- This one is on the screen, right of the smugglers cave graveyard opening.
--- 19th Coin:- Is at the base of the totem pole.
--- 20th Coin:- Is right at the bottom of the air pocket under the wobbly rock. Don't go down there without the flippers.
--- 21st Coin:- Is in the secret cave below Hook Jaw's Grave.
--- 22nd Coin:- Is in the water, underneath the bridge to the right.
--- 23rd Coin:- Is behind the doorway of the hut to the right of the store.
--- 24th Coin:- Is to the right of the shop.
--- 25th Coin:- Is under the trap door to the right of the smugglers cave.
--- 26th Coin:- Is in the belly of the fish, just above the wobbly rock.
--- 27th Coin:- Is in the water to the left, under the bridge. Again you will need the snorkel.
--- 28th Coin:- Is behind the small bush beside the tree in the room to the left of the bridge.
--- 29th Coin:- Is behind the red flowers on the ground in the screen to the left of the central cage in the treehouse village.
--- 30th Coin:- Is next to the storekeepers twin brother.
