Dizzy's Quest

v1.1

Storyline:
Daisy has been helping Theo work out the bugs in a new fangled teleporter he found. Unfortunately,
the power source for the teleporter, five magic stars, have run out and Daisy is now stuck on
the other side of the teleporter. Dizzy must find five magic stars to fit into the teleporter and also
find 75 secrets so that Theo can power up his wand to make the teleporter work again.

Secrets:
Secrets points are scored by finding hidden entrances, non solid walls that can be walked through
and some (allegedly) clever puzzle solving.

Notes:
Dizzy can carry up to four items at any one time. In most cases Dizzy will automatically use an
inventory item when solving a puzzle, as long as he's carrying the correct item.
Press Enter/Return to enter doorways and other entrances unless indicated otherwise.

WARNING:
There should be more than enough coins to complete this game, but just in case,
it is recommended that players with no idea of strategy save their game before travelling
via the teleporters. Although diamonds can be bought or sold, this is mainly for helping
check out potential progress as the game cannot be fully completed until all secrets are
discovered.

Game size:
Press F10 to switch between windowed or full screen mode.
In some versions of Windows 10 you may need to amend the setup file:
Double click to open, then choose, config, video, and click on windowed to change
it to full screen, then exit.

Requirements:
PC compatible system with 3D video board (GeForce2 or above).
Windows operating system and DirectX 9 or OpenGL installed.
For audio a sound card is required (DirectSound compatible).
For rumble effect use a gamepad or joystick with force feedback.

Gameplay:
Use the left and right arrow keys to move in that direction and the up arrow key to jump.
...unless you're a total dinosaur, then use Z/LEFT, X/RIGHT, K/UP, for movement and
SPACE for jump, not forgetting to say "I'm a total saddo" every time you press one of these keys.
Use the enter/return key for action and entering doorways etc. Use the escape key for loading, saving etc

If present, a gamepad or a joystick can also be used. But does anybody still use a joystick?
You can mute the sound with F9 and show the game FPS with F11.
F1 will display the About box (windowed only).Use PrintScreen or ctrl+PrintScreen to save a screenshot.

Troubleshooting:
By default, the game runs in 640x480 windowed mode (scale x2). It should have sound
enabled, keyboard and joystick support. The game uses dizzy.ini for keeping it's settings.
You can adjust them from the provided setup, or even manually. If you have troubles with
your joystick or gamepad, try to switch it to analog mode, calibrate it, or edit the dead zone
values in dizzy.ini with higher values - or stop being a total dick and use the keyboard like
normal people! If you experience troubles running the game, try checking the log messages
(enable them from setup), visit the official web site for details, or get yourself a computer
that didn't come out of the ark.

Thanks:
