Prince Clumsy's Missing Crown
by Steve 'Grandad' Rennie
Made with DizzyAGE v2.4
November 2025 (ver 1.0)

Storyline:
Prince Clumsy has lost his crown. Help Dizzy find it for him

Notes:
Dizzy can only save games at a cost of 10 coins. Loading games are free, cos I'm such a nice person.
However, don't press escape without saving the game as you'll have to pay another 10 coins to access
the save game menu!
Dizzy can also replenish his health for 5 coins and get one of his lives back for 10 coins - if you find the
machines that enable you to do this. However, only electricity and lava kills, all nasties only hurt.
You need 100 coins to purchase items, but you have another 100 coins for saving games and adding to
your lives and health - but clever players can end the game with 3 lives and full health without
spending any coins on restoring health, lives or saving the game and save themselves having to complete
a particularly nasty puzzle to finally get the Prince's crown. If you know all the secrets the game can be
completed in about 2 hours.. so no excuses about saving the game cos you need to be doing something else.
Dizzy can carry up to four items at any one time. In some cases Dizzy will automatically use an
inventory item when solving a puzzle, as long as he's carrying the correct item.
Press Enter/Return to enter doorways and other entrances unless indicated otherwise. although in some
cases you need arrow keys such as 'up' or 'down' to either access certain areas or make things happen.
Dizzy can teleport home, very useful for when he gets stuck or is being chased by nasties.
If you're on the 'options' box and don't want to go to the warehouse or home, just press 'escape'
as you'd do to close the inventory box without selecting an item to use. (note: remember about saving games)
There are many secret passages and little oddities in this game, so check everything.

Game size:
Press F10 to switch between windowed or full screen mode.
In some versions of Windows 10 you may need to amend the setup file:
Double click to open, then choose, config, video, and click on windowed to change
it to full screen, then exit.

Requirements:
PC compatible system with 3D video board (GeForce2 or above).
Windows operating system and DirectX 9 or OpenGL installed.
For audio a sound card is required (DirectSound compatible).
For rumble effect use a gamepad or joystick with force feedback.

Gameplay:
Use the left and right arrow keys to move in that direction and the up arrow key to jump.
...unless you're a total dinosaur, then use Z/LEFT, X/RIGHT, K/UP, for movement and
SPACE for jump, not forgetting to say "I'm a total saddo" every time you press one of these keys.
Use the enter/return key for action and entering doorways etc. Use the escape key for loading, saving etc

If present, a gamepad or a joystick can also be used. But does anybody still use a joystick?
You can mute the sound with F9 and show the game FPS with F11.
F1 will display the About box (windowed only).Use PrintScreen or ctrl+PrintScreen to save a screenshot.

Troubleshooting:
By default, the game runs in 640x480 windowed mode (scale x2). It should have sound
enabled, keyboard and joystick support. The game uses dizzy.ini for keeping it's settings.
You can adjust them from the provided setup, or even manually. If you have troubles with
your joystick or gamepad, try to switch it to analog mode, calibrate it, or edit the dead zone
values in dizzy.ini with higher values - or stop being a total dick and use the keyboard like
normal people! If you experience troubles running the game, try checking the log messages
(enable them from setup), visit the official web site for details, or get yourself a computer
that didn't come out of the ark.

Thanks:
As usual to The Mabess for testing this game.
