Death Island Daisy
by Steve 'Grandad' Rennie
December 2025
version 1.5

Storyline:
Daisy is stuck on Death Island and needs to find enough cash to get the ferry boat home. Unfortunately,
a lot of the wildlife want to eat her up, but she has some help from a picture who sets her tasks to earn
extra cash.

Notes:
Daisy can carry up to four items at any one time. In some cases Daisy will automatically use an
inventory item when solving a puzzle, as long as she's carrying the correct item - such as a key etc
Press Enter/Return to enter doorways, entrances and to use teleporters.
Use the inventory window to open up the options which includes the warehouse.

Big Fat Hint:
Save often, or it will be game over. But, don't forget to look for secrets that make the game easier
especiallly the one that shows all the secret rooms and other secret areas.

Game size:
Press F10 to switch between windowed or full screen mode.
In some versions of Windows 10 you may need to amend the setup file:
Double click to open, then choose, config, video, and click on windowed to change it to full screen,
then exit.

Requirements:
PC compatible system with 3D video board (GeForce2 or above).
Windows operating system and DirectX 9 or OpenGL installed.
For audio a sound card is required (DirectSound compatible).
For rumble effect use a gamepad or joystick with force feedback.

Gameplay:
Use the left and right arrow keys to move in that direction and the up arrow key to jump.
...unless you're a total dinosaur, then use Z/LEFT, X/RIGHT, K/UP, for movement and
SPACE for jump, not forgetting to say "I'm a total saddo" every time you press one of these keys.
Use the enter/return key for action and entering doorways etc. Use the escape key for loading, saving etc
If present, a gamepad or a joystick can also be used. But does anybody still use a joystick?
You can mute the sound with F9 and show the game FPS with F11.
F1 will display the About box (windowed only).Use PrintScreen or ctrl+PrintScreen to save a screenshot.

Troubleshooting:
By default, the game runs in 640x480 windowed mode (scale x2). It should have sound
enabled, keyboard and joystick support. The game uses dizzy.ini for keeping it's settings.
You can adjust them from the provided setup, or even manually. If you have troubles with
your joystick or gamepad, try to switch it to analog mode, calibrate it, or edit the dead zone
values in dizzy.ini with higher values - or stop being a total dick and use the keyboard like
normal people! If you experience troubles running the game, try checking the log messages
(enable them from setup), visit the official web site for details, or get yourself a computer
that didn't come out of the ark.

Thanks:
To the Mabess for testing this game.
