Fantastic Dizzy (2026 PC Remake)

The land of the Yolkfolk had always been a safe and peaceful place.
The Yolkfolk themselves, with their oval shaped bodies and bright red gloves and boots, lived in treehouses high in the forest.

They spent their days exploring the forest and mining diamonds to trade with the trolls in the neighbouring town of Keldor.
This had been the tradition for as long as anyone could remember...that was until that fateful day, when a dark stranger came to the land.

The stranger, known as Wizard Zaks, wore a long black cloak and a pointed hat which shaded his glowing eyes.
He took over Keldor Castle and summoned the head of the Yolkfolk.

Grand Dizzy went to the castle, only to be greeted by armour clad trolls carrying axes.
He introduced himself as a friend, but Zaks ordered the guards to seize him.
Grand Dizzy cunningly somersaulted over their heads and escaped.
From that day forward, the Yolkfolk have lived in fear of Zaks and his evil powers.

One day, Dizzy and his girlfriend Daisy were walking in the forest when the sky turned black.
A large bird swooped down and carried Daisy away to Zaks' newly built castle in the clouds.
Zaks himself had also cast an evil spell over the Yolkfolk.

It is now up to Dizzy to undo Zaks' evil spells on his friends and rescue Daisy from his evil clutches.

This is a faithful PC version of the Sega Mega Drive / Genesis release of Fantastic Dizzy, rebuilt from the original cartridge.

The world, the puzzles, the music and sound effects and the way Dizzy moves all follow the original, checked step by step against it.
The game plays as it always did, including all five languages of the cartridge (English, French, German, Spanish and Italian).
It no longer slows down where the console version did.
It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux.

What's been added:
-- Save and load. - Press Esc for a pause menu with eight save slots, each showing a picture and the time you saved.
F5 and F8 give you a quick save and quick load.
-- Controls. - Play with a keyboard or a controller, and rebind every key and button.
-- Display and sound. - Switch between fullscreen and windowed, set the music and sound effect volumes separately, and turn on an optional CRT look.
-- Cheats. - Infinite lives, infinite energy, frozen timers, or a teleport to the main places. They are off every time you start.
-- Watch the demo. Choose Watch demo from the pause menu and Dizzy plays the whole adventure on his own, collecting every star, with no lives lost.
Speed it up (up to 8x) or slow it down with Left and Right. Press Start at any moment to take over and play from that exact spot. Once you've taken over, the demo can't be resumed.
If you want to watch again, start a new demo from the menu.
