I've seen sent a Spectrum fan game called "Dizzy - The Dragon Traps" by @Dmytro (Welcome to the community :shez-smile: )

The game only works on 48k mode and currently has Kempston controls only.

Dizzy - The Dragon Trap is an unofficial ZX Spectrum Dizzy fan game created in 1997 and set in our original Dragon Land universe.

Dizzy must explore a compact world of 12 interconnected locations, collect and use objects, solve inventory-based puzzles, speak with the unusual inhabitants of Dragon Land, and ultimately find a way through the Magic Mirror. The game features original graphics, dialogue, puzzles, room designs, and AY-chip music.

The game was created by two childhood friends, Dmytro Mosiychuk and Viktor Voloshuk, from Lutsk, Ukraine. Throughout our childhood, we were huge fans of both the ZX Spectrum and the Dizzy series. Inspired by the games we loved, we decided to create our own Dizzy adventure and place it in a fantasy world of our own called Dragon Land.

The game was completed in 1997 but was never publicly released. By that time, the ZX Spectrum era was coming to an end and x86 PCs were becoming increasingly widespread. We showed the finished game only to a few close friends and relatives, after which it remained stored on an old cassette for nearly thirty years.

In 2026, the cassette recording was successfully recovered, the game was reconstructed, and Dizzy The Drag Trap became fully playable again. This is therefore its first public release, almost three decades after it was originally completed.

The game was designed for a 48K ZX Spectrum fitted with an AY sound chip. When using an emulator, AY sound should be enabled for the 48K model. The game uses a Kempston joystick for controls.

@Dmytro - the game is now available on Yolkfolk's database. :shez-smile:
Previous post updated, and thank you for your help too.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
As mentioned above, the game only responds to Kempston joystick controls, which means fiddling with joystick settings on your Spectrum emulator.
The advice that Dmytro has given me, I managed to sort out the control issues on Fuse.

FUSE:
Under OptionsPeripheralsGeneral, enable the Kempston joystick interface.
Under OptionsJoysticks, set the keyboard joystick or physical joystick to Kempston, and configure its directions and fire button.

Changing only the second setting does not enable the emulated interface.

ZXSPIN:
Make sure that Kempston is selected as the main joystick/interface, rather than only assigning keys to joystick movements.
After changing it, it may be necessary to reset the emulated Spectrum and reload the game.

SPECTACULATOR
- 48K Spectrum model
- Kempston joystick enabled
- AY sound enabled for the 48K model

REGARDS TO GAME'S MUSIC:
Please note that the game was originally developed on a Ukrainian 48K Spectrum clone with an AY chip added to it.
Therefore, 48K mode with AY enabled is the intended configuration.
The game itself may not work correctly when loaded directly in 128K mode.

Evgeniy Barskiy has released a mod of this game where the game will now load in 128k mode and has keyboard controls.

The second download link has been added to the game's page, labelled "DrBars Mod".
