Collectors Cards

During the early 90’s, Codemasters released some
Dizzy-themed Collectors Cards.

There are 16 cards altogether.

Postcards

In an attempt to introduce their games to the American public, Codemasters released a postcard that features “The Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy” on the front of it.

The other has a list of guidelines to Video Game safety.

Form of Recognition

In January 2020, Royal Mail unveiled a Limited Edition Video Game Stamp Set.
Dizzy was one of the eight British-made retro games that got this form of recognition.

BLITZ GAMES STUDIOS – 20TH ANNIVERSARY MUG

The mug was kindly given to Andrew by the Oliver Twins to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Blitz Games Studios.

THE FIRST TO BEAT TREASURE ISLAND DIZZY

In 1989, Nicolas sent a letter to Codemasters saying that he had completed “Treasure Island Dizzy”.

The letter was sent not long after the game’s release.

He had received this response from Mike Clark, saying that Nicolas is possibly the first to complete the game.

CODEMASTERS CARTOON CLUB

Marcus became a member of the “Cartoon Time Club” by cutting off bar codes from tape inlays and sending them to Codemasters’ Lower Farm House address.

For joining the club, he received a free copy of “Pub Trivia Simulator”.

The club was runned by Claire Lucas, who appears in the “Dizzy Whizzkids” advert.

Marcus was given the Cartoon Club certificate back in 1993, the same year the club closed down. 

CODEMASTERS COMPLIMENTS SLIP

Back in the day, you could send any duplicate Dizzy Collectors Cards to Codemasters to trade for other cards you didn’t own.
SylarDean did exactly that and received two cards and this Compliments Slip dated May 1994.
