Ive only played the 8bit versions, but i'm going for Amstrad cpc because it has more colours. I didn't actually realise there were 16 bit versions too!
Well i was making a 3D Remake, but thats not my favourite, i have to say the amiga 16-bit version defintly, as the engine was much more suited to the game as i remember!
Having actually gone out and played the Amiga version now, I see what all the fuss is about. I'm still keeping my vote with the Commodore one as it is my fondest memory, but the Amiga version is like a totally different game! It's got proper strategy and game areas and stuff, where the 8bit ones were just like Pacman or something. Still, they're all pretty good.
My favourite version is PC DOS. Earlier dizzy games were all programmed for the Amstrad CPC and ZX Spectrum and later on it was converted to Game Gear and DOS.
I hated the DOS version, awful stuff. While I use to play it on an Amstrad with no colours I think the Spectrum is vastly superior to all the other versions.
Great music, graphics are cool, colourful and clear.
The c64 looks hideous, colours are bland and because the maze has floor tiles it just clashes and looks really messy, nice tunes but ZX 128k version wins for me, no contest.
