Dizzy fangame on the DS.

good luck with this :smile: I have a DS and would love to see a new game made for this platform. Fanatastic dizzy would be great on a DS.

The bottom screen could be for the inventory and sliding puzzles etc {dizzy}:dizwink:

The DS probably isn't an easy place to start programming, mainly because as far as I'm aware there isn't really a great (i.e. accurate) DS Emulator available yet, and it's still a little bit complicated getting home-made programs to run on a real DS (the easiest way I know of involves a Codemasters-esque bypass device and an original DS cart, and you save your own program on a GBA flash cartridge which goes into the GBA slot). I was looking into DS programming some time last year (I've done amateur GBA programming for about 4 years) and I was put off by the lack of support/documentation/emulators, etc. Of course, it may be different now, I haven't looked for a while.

GBA would be good practice for DS, as 3D capabilities aside, the DS's 2D display methods are very similar to the GBA's (except there's 2 of them), and there's a brilliant accurate and reliable emulator for the GBA, Visualboyadvance.

Woah, don't assume I'm just jumping into this {yolkfolk}:crazy: , I have more than enoug homebrew equipment (emulators, slot-1 flash cards, slot-2+pass combos) {yolkfolk}:rofl: . I'm taking a course in C/C++, which is very common on the DS, and I have done some programming before. So first, I will make a test prog {yolkfolk}:yahoo:

I don't really know how the things you've listed relate to each other.

The first one is a good emu, the others are my homebrew hardware. I have a lot to test on.

I have a DS too, pisses me off, the guy I bought it off gave me DS Lite charger and stylus, so I need to exchange it, or just get rid of it.
