I payed a visit to the DizzyAGE site this morning and found that the game created by Jamie Douglas is ready to download

- Yolkfolk.com (v2.06)

- DizzyAGE (v2.06)

- HELP THREAD

I've had a go at it too and I must say it is eggcellent  Well done Jamie

One question though, are the cherries meant to be health or are you supposed to pick them up for something?

I think It's the same as Spellbound, you can stay underwater for a few seconds then your energy drains {yolkfolk}

yeah he has used the default dizzyage water material, meaning dizzy can stay under water in this one for a while then his energy will run down. like spellbound.

Don't DO that!

Saying there was a bug nearly gave me a heart attack before i looked at the pic! Yes you can stay underwater for a while before the life starts to drain.

and thank you Adz and Peter for the kind words!

i would appreciate feedback, both good and bad, so that i have a better idea of what works well and doesn't for the next game i do. although it's just a few little random specks of ideas in my mind at the moment...

Being new I don't know whether out-and-out spoilers are allowed here? Let's just say for now that the Cherries are meant to be eaten by a hungry character, but it's not Dizzy.

I've also reached a point where I've explored as far as I can go and don't know what to do with any of the objects I've found... {yolkfolk}:dizzy:

what objects have you got, and how far have you got?

Mapping as I go along, I've found 78 of the rooms. How big is it?

Apart from the bits and pieces with diamonds hidden underneath them, which I'm assuming don't have any other purpose within the game; the objects that have stumped me are: the Matches, the Kindling (I assume they are used together somewhere), the Dough, The Harp, the Bridge Kit, the Rusty Magnet, the Feather.

The thing that's stumped me the most is the Pickaxe - all I've managed to do with it is break one of the rocks in the mine, but that has seemingly no after-effect whatsoever.

Also, there's a diamond partially visible in the Treetops, but when positioned over it I can't actually pick it up... {yolkfolk}:puzzled:

all i will say is that there is a reason why the pickaxe is not removed from the inventory after you've used it...

Oh well, looks like I'll be shutting myself off from the outside world for another few days at least then... {yolkfolk}

right, i was going to upload a map of Diamond Mine Dizzy, but it's rather large...

by 'large' i mean the JPG image is nearly a full mb, and the bitmap is a whopping 13mb...

with the size being 3362x1362, it's also way beyond photobucket's capacity.

wooo! i just worked out how to 'zip' files, so i'm attaching it as a zip file for those who would like to see it!

oh it doesn't show you the intro screens tho, you'll have to find them for yourselves!

You can convert it to .PNG and it will be about the same size as the zip (326KB)

BMP files are not compressed (usually)
TGA is also uncompressed (usually) and very simple format.
PNG is using a zip like compression method, so it's very good for images with few
colors or big areas with constant color (like black background).
JPGs are very good for images with lots of colors (like photos), but they loose
quality when compressing (loose detail forever, so never back up your work in jpg).

If you want, I can make the map available near the game download on the DizzyAGE website, though it will be a big spoiler

okies folks, Alex has uploaded the walkthrough i've sent him, so if you're really stuck somewhere in the game then you can get the answer on the game's page.

if you're STILL stuck with the diamonds, e-mail me (addy on my profile - it's the same as my msn addy) and i'll reply to you in a few weeks when i get my internet back up after moving house!

Have to say im impressed at the fact there are people who can create these Dizzy Fan Games using Dizzy Age & well done

Always a joy to play a new adventure (despite getting stuck many a time but using some of the hints on here) & coming back to the game several times
ive finally completed all the puzzles. Got a diamond of Daisy :girl:

Im up to 47 diamonds but 3 are illusive {yolkfolk}:puzzled:

i've sent Alex a slightly revised version of Diamond Mine Dizzy for him to upload.

nothing really noticable, just a couple of bugs that i found when beta testing Dreamworld Dizzy. i'd taken the code for the items direct from Diamond Mine, so realised that the bug would be in this game too, and lo, it was. doh!

i'm sure he'll post when it's been updated.
