This game is truly excellent, well worthy of the Dizzy name. I had never played any fan games until now but I'm sincerely impressed. Even though I have the emulated versions, I still got PTeals remakes of the originals so far just 'cause they run on their own with no fuss.
This game is pretty big too isn't it... Bigeer than I thought, there's plenty of time gone into it alright. Thumbs up from Mataeus

I'm currently struggling my way though this.. started it this afternoon.

Right, Diamond Mine Dizzy v2 should be ready for release tomorrow evening, or tonight, if i feel there are no bugs in it.
it basically upgrades the game to v2.2 of DizzyAGE, however i've taken the opportunity to do a lot more to it. the danger with this was that i didn't want to 'lose' the original version of the game, so i've kept it as an option from the menu. You can therefore choose to play either the 'classic' version, or the 'v2' version.
Differences to the original:
Classic:
-slight changes to the amount of health lost when colliding with a danger
-dizzy moves while eating
v2:
-new HUD
-new loading screen
-graphics updated and more detail added
-some rooms and sections completely re-drawn
-sound FX changed
-more music added
-life bar FX changed
-a couple of puzzles changed
-a couple of brand new puzzles added
-'death' messages added
-a couple of scripts changed
-new style of movement underwater
-slight changes to the amount of health lost when colliding with a danger
-dizzy moves while eating
-eating doesn't restore you to full health, just partial.
and probably some other stuff i'm forgetting.
The best way to see the difference will be to open two windows, one playing v2 mode and the other playing 'classic' mode, and see the differences between them.
for the moment, here are some comparison screenshots. v2 mode at the top, Classic mode at the bottom:

New version looks great Jamie, can't wait to play it {yolkfolk}
Diamond Mine 'Redux' - can't wait! Maybe this time I'll finally discover the hidden intro screens!
Definitely looks from the screenshots that a significant element is going to be increased dexterity required. What's the difference in the last two screenshots though, apart from the colour of the wooden posts {dizzy}

no real difference apart from the colours. most of the screens are just colour changes or small graphical tweaks that you may not notice unless you're running both side by side.
the only bits i've really changed are bits of the original that i was never really happy with, like the cave.
v2 is now on Yolkfolk

I'll update the screenshots and post news on Yolkfolk a little later, got too many stuff happening at once at the moment
