Was there ever a PC-DOS version of this game? I see it mentioned that it was released on that platform on many sites, including the Oliver Twins'. If so, have any copies ever surfaced? Thanks.

the only version i know of, that was released my codemasters, is the emulated commodore 64 version

I've never come across a copy of TI for dos, and i've been looking now for almost 10 years.
Wasn't Crystal Kingdom Dizzy supposed to have a PC version too? Has that ever been found?

Ok, I was continuing my search for Treasure Island Dizzy, and I stumbled upon a zip file for Bubble Dizzy with a set of PC icons in it. The thing is, there is a icon for Treasure Island Dizzy in it! I made a zip of the icons, but for some reason, when I try to attach it here, it says I have uploaded the max number of attachments, which is strange because I never uploaded anything here before. If anyone wants the icon pack, let me know.

Put it onto something like Rapidshare or Filefront!!!
By the way -- I remember finding ported versions of Dizzy from Spectrum on PC-DOS with same SPECCY graphics and even same glitches/tricks....
In a crash I lost it all.
Dizzy 1 was the only one missing from the collection. But I also had 3 and a half and little joke ones like those.

As far as I've been able to find out, the only games that were released on the PC were Fast Food, Fantasy World, Kwik Snax, Magicland, Prince of the Yolkfolk, Bubble & Fantastic.
I've found Dizzy-1 on PC-DOS somewhere in torrent, but i think it's not official release.

SLIDER, as a not official release, THERE WERE dos versions which seemed to be speccy ports and I had them all except for dizzy 1.

I had one that I downloaded from dizzyzone, but it wasn't a PC game, it was emulated from something else, the guy above says it was C64, but I'm fairly certain it was a Spectrum version I was playing.
There are a number of dizzy games that are just about impossible to track down. Crystal Kingdom and Treasure Island Dizzy on DOS are hard to find, and Fantastic Dizzy and Dizzy Down the Rapids are hard to find on Atari ST. Nick says he has a copy of Treasure Island for the PC though.
Im 99% sure theres no treasure island dizzy for MS-DOS, Maybe someone should contact Codemasters to confirm it!

They're only 88kb each, which strikes me as unlikely for DOS games.

look like the real deal to me... it's not unusual for DOS games to fit into 88k or less .. this bolsters the authenticity in fact as It looks as if it was ASM bulk under 64k real code.

Those are emulated. Just your usual spectrum snapshots 'compiled' using Warajevo ZXCOMP. This can be easily determined not by only them being identical to the zx versions in every aspect (there is absolutely no reason for them to use spectrum pallet if the port was pc specific), but also by looking at the first few bytes in the executable or a text message when you quit the program :smile:
