Hello everybody! How's things? Hope all is well.
OK as I'm a member of this forum (for the second time) I'd like to tell you all a bit about myself.
In January 1976 (or thereabouts) I was conceived. I'm not going to go into too much detail there as I'm sure you all get the drift. Anyway, 9 months (ish) I was born in a place call Oldham which is North East of Manchester.
About 10 years later my dad bought me and my brother a ZX Spectrum and since then we've been what some people call "computer geeks". We played all the Dizzy games and completed them all. We even managed to find that coin in Treasure Island Dizzy (the one that was hidden behind that bit of fence that you could only get if you was stood RIGHT ON THE EDGE of the platfor below) without any help! I remember that moment in time very well. So well in fact that I might write a book about it! :teethy:
Anyway nowadays I don't play games much - my mind is too busy and creative andmuch prefer to program them than play them.
I studied at two universities (Software Development at Salford Uni and Computing at Manchester Met pretend university). I now fully understand Artificial Neural Networks, Knowledge Based Systems and my favorite - 3D graphics and rendering techniques. See - geek! :teethy:
I moved away and now work as a software developer for a big international company but that's all I'm going to say about my job.
When I'm home I rarely use my computer unless I'm creating games or other things. I am not on the internet at home, but I'm due to buy a house in an area that has cable (Virgin Media) so I *hopefully* will go online.
I keep myself fit by kickboxing (which I absolutely love) where I have got my blackbelt and now help out in classes.
My interests involve kickboxing, computer programming, computer security, 3D graphics, Flash and Actiopn script and attending festivals (Glastonbury in a few weeks! I can't wait!!! :teethy: :teethy: :teethy: Anybody else going?) and listening to music (Queen, Metallica and any other rock music).
That's all for now. Hope I didn't bore you too much.
