Hi all, I've been lurking but haven't signed up until now. I've been a-loving the little white oviform dude since I bought the first game on my Commodore 64 in 1988. I've since learned the heritage of Dizzy and it's past, present and future through various sources. I love playing the Dizzy games (C64 versions) very much and have recently produced some quality maps in Excel 2007 with cool little links to places on my hardrive where I have the fantastic Commodore theme tunes located, and object links on the maps and stuff... They're pretty cool if I say so my self. I've only done the first two so far and Fantasy World is up next.
I know the Commodore version were (up to a point) ports of the Spectrum originals, but I like the extra border graphics more than them not being there at all and the SID tunes are amazing, especially the classic Treasure Island Dizzy theme that went on to become the hallmark tune of the series.
Anyway, I'll be lurkibng around to keep you all busy...
So what's the news on the forums? How many regularly active members are there and stuff?
See you around people,
Mataeus
(love the emoticons btw, am I free to take some to use in messenger?)
