Do any of you play Nationstates? Nick and I play and we were just wondering.. but if you havent played, you basically get your own country and you govern it by deciding on issues. There isn't any "actual" war in the game, but you can role-play whatever you want which makes it really cool because a lot of the game is left up to your imagination really.

oh my god i found that about two years ago. It was made to promote a book called Jennifer Government by a guy called Max Barry.

i bought the book, and he's now one of my favourite authors. It's rather difficult to get his books in the UK, as Jennifer Government is the only one that has been published here. He's also wrote books called 'Syrup' and 'Company', both of which are pretty damn funny. you can get them all pretty easily from amazon.

Yeah I haven't actually read the book, but apparently there is supposed to be a NationStates 2 on the way; so that should be interesting. Do you still play on NationStates?

Yeah it's beginning to wear on me too, unless you are in a region where you could make the game more interactive, there isn't much action to the game, however, I find it particularly interesting if you check your nation's economy every now and then at the http://nseconomy.thirdgeek.com/ calculator. I guess it was really a temporary interest maybe, {yolkfolk}:delight:
