Favourite Official Dizzy Music?

ok, so which music do you prefer of all the Dizzy Games?

i'm talking about the Spectrum versions here, but feel free to put 'other' and specify which other in this thread if you wish.

Close one for me. I have voted for Magicland but also like the music from the Amstrad version of Dizzy TUCA.

Probably a toss-up between the 16 bit versions of Treasure Island Dizzy & Prince of the Yolkfolk, although I also quite like the in-game music for Dizzy Panic as well.

Treasure Island Dizzy's opening theme for me, my favourite version being that from the Commodore.

Loved all the music in the Commodore version of Treasure Island Dizzy, except for the ending theme when you reach the taxman with all 30 coins such a let down after the other themes.

Even liked the death theme in Treasure Island Dizzy, only theme to give me that feeling of...

Normally I'd say Crystal Kingdom (Why isn't that on the poll, explain yourself :tongue: lol)

But I'm gonna go for Magicland as I quite like the Commodore tunes besides the Spectrum TUCA tune.

Treasure Islands commodore was pretty cool,
and i always liked Spellbound..

I put Magicland before I'd really read it properly, because I was thinking of the Commodore 64 version. If it's between all the Spectrum versions, then I'd probably go for Spellbound because it had a really good tune - better than the game itself. POTYF's music was also really good, on all formats, although maybe a bit too much of a parody of.... that song it's a parody of :smile:

The music of Treasure Island Dizzy, although sparse, puts out a wonderful melody. The main theme of the game is a perfect blend of notes to make a catchy, but not annoying, tune. Even the "death" song is not annoying - something most games can't achieve. Sound effects are lacking in the game.

This is a tricky one actually,
But after listening to all the musics for many years i have to say Kwik snax music destroys all other dizzy games (is destroys your ears too lol), there is about 9 different tunes in the 128k spectrum version and they're all amazing,

I would have to say those funky tunes on the Russian Pentagram units were pretty cool not even necessarily the games themselves, sometimes just the programmer's intro, I ripped them just to jam to them actually, next to that I'd say nearly any of the Atari games had really good tunes too, never got too into any of the others though. {yolkfolk}:clap:

Treasure Island C64 for me... I consider that to be 'the' classic Dizzy tune. It stuck good as well, being rehashed for the NES release of Fantastic Adventures of Dizzy...
