Rail Road Dizzy (HELP THREAD)

All the routes down seem to be blocked. I've attempted using the wooden Axe and Pickaxe to open the route's up.

I'm sure it's obvious.... {yolkfolk}:guilty:

it's not quite THAT obvious. in fact i'd say it's one of the hardest puzzles in the game.

Woohooo! I go from not being able to find that last piece of coal, to now having done everything other than sort out Daisy's birthday present.

I was a bit shocked about how many gems are needed too - I'm up to 29 now. Having 'actioned' and lept on everything, I can accept I might have missed an odd 'one' lying around somewhere - but I'm wondering whether there is a secret room or something that contains the rest to make it up to the nice round figure required. And yes I have found the large group of ones hidden in the same way - nice touch there again {yolkfolk}:animwink: and so logical I discovered it by 'accident'.

My only unused objects now are the Megaphone, Lamp and Duster (I'm guessing those last two might have something to do with each other...???)

Jamie, this game is ingeniously designed - I can't get my head around how you must plan it all. Do you have a gigantic piece of paper on the floor or something, sketching it all out {dizzy}:huh:

I'm also loving that you can exterminate baddies. Oh and that secret passage was seriously creepy! I first did it without the torch. Managed to do it without losing any energy, although my eyes took a serious straining! {yolkfolk}:tongue:

Eh? I never found Danny {yolkfolk}:scratch: , but I did unlock the door and have 37 gems so far.

I'm kinda ahead for now because I was one of the people who beta tested this game. :x_x:

haha you're not ahead actually. i think Meph has almost finished it... certainly he's ahead of you, from what you've said... :wink:

no i don't use paper at all. i draw the map out in the DizzyAGE editor from a rough idea in my head, adding bits as i think of them, and making notes of ideas i get regarding puzzles etc. then once i've got the map mostly complete, and all the characters in there, i'll work out what order all the puzzles have to be done in, so that nothing clashes, and so that the game 'flows' fairly well. and also work out what the rest of the items are going to be.

i also change items and things later on. for example Dora was originally going to get the Duster, but i thought that may be a bit chauvanistic, and also it would have allowed access to the item Dora gives you a lot earlier than i wanted it to be available, so i changed it so that you couldn't solve her puzzle that early.

Ok stupid question, having found all the coal which I must say was not an easy task :teethy: , How do you start the train I've given it the coal and it ain't doin anything am I missing something {yolkfolk}:scratch: (I even asked my hubby who is a train driver to have a look he wasn't much help {yolkfolk}:tongue: )

@dharr999 the bit your on is the hardest puzzle.. i did it by accident and its not really obvious.. I'm not sure on the logic... lol

@kitty have you check the in/under the water? i think there was one swimming about down there.... but your best option is to check under all the boxes, bottles, cages and any thing else.

@khaosadz..you didn't find Danny.. {yolkfolk}:tongue:

@annie.. you'll come across the bridge solution while doing other things.

i still got 3 gems to find and I'm done.. i know one is in under a roof tile but i haven't been able to get it...at least haven't found the correct item to use.. if its where i think it is.

But given that I couldn't get the moon diamond in Diamond Mine, nor the pipes one in Dreamworld without being told on here where they were, I very much doubt I am going to find this one on my own either! :wall:

what items haven't you used yet (apart from ones hiding gems)?

i'll give everyone a clue, in that there are only 2 items (apart from ones hiding gems) that have no use at all.

oh and 2 items that hide gems/coal do have a use, however you don't need them to complete the game.... :wink:
