Hey Bazi,

Well done it's a great game!! {yolkfolk}

I think I need more practise cloud hopping, I kept falling and having to start from the platform again, it was driving me {yolkfolk} there for awhile!!

Do you mind if I ask how many hours you think you spent on it? I'd just be intrested how long it takes to make a game like this? {yolkfolk}:jawdrop:

Thank you very much ! I think the best way for hard jumping is the following - first only jump up and when you are up in the air add the direction key. Then you can't fall down.

And the time I spent on it ? I didn't make it continuously, I did it at my work office when I had a time and a little of work was done at home. When we theoretically suppose working 8 hours a day on a game I think we'll get the following amount of time - map 4 days, scripting 2 days (not very complicated puzzles, only some sine movements and tile changing), dialogs 1 day (I'm not native speaker, for me the hardest thing) and 3 days for testing and polishing.

I have tried copies of the game from both yolkfolk.com and the dizzyage site.
they are both working

did you extract all of the game files to a new empty folder?

Beat me to it there Colin, sounds like Andy is trying to run the game from the zip file.

Download it and then unzip it. (right click the folder and select Extract files)
Thats how mine works.

no, it sounds to me like he's replaced the .exe file that comes with the game (v2.2) with an earlier or later version of the .exe file, which will not then run the game (which was made with v2.2).

to fix it, run it with the correct .exe file (the v2.2 one). The best way of doing this is probably to re-download the game.

I don't think so. if you don't have winzip or any other extraction software on your pc and use the built in windows one. the zip opens like a normal explorer window. if you then run the dizzy.exe and choose run, not extract all. only the exe file is done and comes up with that error.

Ah yes i see. Just tried it. You get pretty much the same error if you try to run it using a different version of the .exe file

yup. every single one of them! It's very easy to extract them though. Just do as Meph says.

It's like trying to read sheets of paper when they're stored in a file. Sure they take up a lot less space in the file than if you take them out and spread them around, but you simply can't read them if they're still in the file. You have to take them out and spread them around to be able to properly read and use them.

What version Windows costs on your computer? Simply with Windows7 some games do not go.
