Now some of us know that on the NES, there were 2 versions of FAoD.

One was the 1991 version with a Blue Dizzy Logo where you had to get 100 magic stars, Dizzy walked at a slow speed, a few puzzles were altered and there was a trap at the bottom of the treehouse village.

Then there's the 1992 version with the Red Dizzy Logo where you collect 250 Stars, pretty much like other versions of Fantastic Dizzy and Dizzy starts to go fast whilst walking, like on Dizzy the Adventurer.

There maybe a few other points I missed.

Anyway, I found this thread on the Polish Dizzy Community Forum (don't ask how I found it).

http://[IP redacted]/translate_c?hl=en&sl=pl&u=http://www.dizzy.e9.pl/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi%3Fboard%3Dekstras%26action%3Ddisplay%26num%3D1212946591&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dswiat%2Bdizzy%26num%3D30%26hl%3Den

It says something about a different version of FAoD with a Green Dizzy Logo, It's possibly a hack or something maybe, there's the screenshots from the thread.

Post your thoughts here.

My suspicion looking at the original Polish thread and links there in is that this is just a hack - especially as you can end up at romhacking.net where Ive been a few times in the past looking at homebrew hacks

Sadly the translation wouldnt work for me, just kept getting loads of frames, and didnt persevere to try bablefish etc - so thats just my twopence worth...

any other comments anyone??

[EDIT] - IS a home hack, the author says the following on the website:

"Redesigned all locations in game, changes several colors and a few tiles"

Not quite.

There are two "Red versions". One is from '92, and another from '93 (dumps from aladdins cart).

"Green Dizzy" is my hack of TFAoD for NES/Famicom. "Green Dizzy" is -NOT- a Polish translation of this great game.
My suspicion looking at the original Polish thread and links there in is that this is just a hack - especially as you can end up at romhacking.net where Ive been a few times in the past looking at homebrew hacks That's right. "GD" is only a hack, not official other game version.

You can download patch (in NINJA2 file format - *.rup) from romhacking.net, just like the patching program (You need net.framework 2.0 or above to use patcher).
Patch is only for '91 version of TFAoD.

Patch:
http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/413/

Patcher:
http://www.romhacking.net/utils/329/

Q - Patch is legal?
A - yes, just like patches.

Q - Patched game is legal?
A - Only if You have a original game.

Any comments, suggestions and bug report's are welcome.

Please, change topic name to "Green Dizzy" (or something like that  ).

Try not to lay all three stones next to each other. They may not raise the water level after you throw them into it. It makes other part of the game full of other bugs. It's best to throw those stones right after you find them, or simply not to move them.
No rock, no bugs =)

So will be better.
