Dizzy Backstory

Hello,

I thought I'd start this forum as I'm one of those people who isnt just content playing a fantasy game. I also like to imagine what the backstory of the characters would be.

Why? - no real reason other than pure fun discussion - unless anyone fancies writing Dizzy the novel, screenplay or musical?
Also, I have too much free time on my hands....

Id like to start by posing such questions as:

- What species of egg is a Yolkfolk?
- Why do we never see Grandma Dizzy?
- How do yolkfolk reproduce (assuming they are all family/friends?) - do they use a surrogate egg laying creature?
- Do baby Yolkfolk hatch from eggs?
- is Dizzy a bad egg because he floats in water?
- What is about Daisy that makes Dizzy want to do so much for her - She aint that pretty. - Is she perhaps his loan shark, or does she know some dark secret about our hero, that unless he obeys her every whim such as trekking off to find danger - she'll reveal all to the local tabloids?
- What exactly is a Fluffle? Why do they come in different colours and why are they so hard to catch when all they do is sit there all day?
- How do you tell the sex of a fluffle?
- Is a fluffle for life or just for Christmas Dizzy?
- Where does Zaks come from and is he really evil or just misunderstood (like the Wicked Witch in the show Wicked)?

I think thats enough to get the forum started - Lets hear what you think

:egg: Is there really more than one Yolkfolk Village if Danny's from a different Yolkfolk settlement?

:egg: What was Rockwart really like as a King before brainwashed by Zaks?

:egg: Why is Daisy always the victim of being kiddnapped by Zaks?

Im liking the thinking behind the questions already.
Are there any other of those strange nuances from the Yolkfolk? Questions can be as silly, pedantic or technical as you like - this is just a bit if fun.

Of course if you think you know the answers, please share? (or even make up some good ones)

To make it interesting, award yourself with a point for each interesting question, 10 points if you come up with interesting/witty answers/stories and 1000 points if you're source is an Oliver Twin!!

My next Question:
Is the first dragon in Fantasy World Dizzy (atari/amiga version) related to the Churchill Insurance Dog? It would make a good nodding toy ...Oh Yes!

i don't know, but it's a bugger when trying to think up names for new characters...!

If Daisy did wear poms poms, she wouldn't be able to carry much, and I doubt Grand Dizzy would get far without his walking stick :lol:

Anyway, here's my attempt at the questions asked.

- What species of egg is a Yolkfolk?
Somebody mentioned on the old Forums that Dizzy is a turkey egg.

- Why do we never see Grandma Dizzy?
Maybe she was in the same Yolkfolk village as Danny, who knows? She could even be called Grand Daisy.

- How do yolkfolk reproduce (assuming they are all family/friends?) - do they use a surrogate egg laying creature?
I think the Yolkfolk were created by powerful sourcerers, and that Zaks and Theodore may have been involved somehow.

- What exactly is a Fluffle? Why do they come in different colours and why are they so hard to catch when all they do is sit there all day?
There maybe more to a Fluffle than meets the eye.

- Is a fluffle for life or just for Christmas Dizzy?
In Daisy's case, for life.

- Where does Zaks come from and is he really evil or just misunderstood (like the Wicked Witch in the show Wicked)?
Well he does cast spells that make old, spells that make people blind, (all together now!) and makes it rain every Sunday during the Cricket! The truth of Zaks will probably remain a mystery.

I mentioned on another thread that the Yolkfolk's full names may have the word "Yolk" in it, like Dizzy Yolkford. :tongue:

If he was just a cartoon then how do you explain easter? i mean we don't just give eggs out for nothing.. . the celebrations of the birth of Dizzy and the yolkfolk!

I wonder if they are related to Humpty Dumpty????? maybe his is the king yolkfolk . perhaps easter is about him? unless his Dizzys farther..which would make Dizzy the Price of yolkfolk.. so that kinda makes scence... ummm.
