Dizzy Legends Ch. 1 - The Lord of Darkness (TLoD) (HELP THREAD)

First of all I'm fairly new to Dizzy 'fan games' but have many fond memories of playing the originals with my son when he was a youngster. It was he who introduced me to this site and Dizzy Age. This is a really great game - especially as I am visually impaired and the voice makes it so much easier for me to play. {yolkfolk}:clap:

However...
I finished the first chapter without too many problems and beginning to get a swollen head but you know what they say about pride!!! I've come to a crashing halt with chapter 2 and I've only just started. {yolkfolk}:scratch:

I've got an unopened chest in the screen next to the chappie on ladders for which I cannot find the key. I've been running round in circles for ages and can't find anything I haven't done with what's been available to me so far.

The only items I have at the moment are:
Books - Peter Rabbit, Pickpockets, Kings Biography, Spells and Principia Mathematica
Desk Lamp
Letter of Apology

The Courtiers/Archivers I have yet to solve are:
Depressed, Gravity, Prophecy, Cartographer, Harmony, Winter's Tale, Don't Like the King and Energiser (I've already given him the broken piece I got but I apparently need something else).

And I can't figure out what to do with:
2 parchments
Book Binder (or is that just scenery?)

I'm pretty sure I've examined everything thoroughly - well obviously I haven't or I wouldn't be stuck - and if I hear "it's a filing cabinet" or "it's an ornate chair" or "it's a bookshelf" etc for much longer, I'm going to throw the laptop out the window!!! :cry:

I knew I was being thick lol :teethy: Except not in the way you might think...

I'd noticed that connection as soon as I got the book and was dropping and using persistently but it wasn't working, which is why I got so stuck.

It helps when you drop/use when standing in the right place!!!!!!!

Nah, he met his maker long ago.
Done most of level 3 now but am stuck on what is probably the simplest of things - again!!! {yolkfolk}:tired:

I'm pretty sure I know what I've to do and how the rest of the level pans out but can't seem to achieve my goal.

I only have the Warm Gloves; Mythology and Dizzy Age Books; ice cubes and an empty jug with the thunder sculpture, carpentry sculpture and forestry worshipper left to solve.

I'm certain I have to water the acorn (planted and lit already) but can't find/make water either with or without the ice cubes and jug. The fire grates and the foundry don't do anything with the ice and the freezer and ice cube maker don't like the jug and I can't seem to combine the two. Thunder stone doesn't seem to want either item neither.

youve found how to make the water already then, you just need to think about it.
took me ages to work this out as well.

use the foundery with the jug and ice cubes. one item goes in one side, one in the other magic happensand water appers

well, it's a nice game and fairly easy in the progress, but i got stuck in the end. that's why i'm looking for the hints.

i don't know how to make him press the trigger. i flipped the switch, but does nothing.

honestly, i already did 'that', but from the same 'room'. i smashed my pillow, and laughing myself so hard last night, after i finished the game ..

I know I'm way behind here, BUT.... On your walkthrough for level one it says use the Map on the 'wandered' skeleton. I can't find a map anywhere... I have done the vast majority of the level, including giving three souls to the Dungeon Master. Please help!
