Candy Boom started off as a means to develop adventure game controls with Awakening 3D
The game is really easy (well i think it is, but I've played the darn thing way to many times now!), the main focus was getting the character moving, hotspot control, a lot of things got added towards the end like rollover text and inventory text so at times the text may be out of context on some hotspots at least once the text runs off the screen.
since I stopped messing with it I could also do multi languge support which will be included with my next attempt
I just need to get the character to turn more realisticly, more random walking about and be able to combine inventory

it does have:
AVI textures (windows, water in bowl...)
Animated textures (flames, explosion)
Dynamic lights, shadows, flame

Its also playable online but it does require an activeX plugin installed
I like Awakening a lot, it has a lot in common with flash so I'm doing a lot better than I usually do with 3D engines

Just out of interest, IF i did a Dizzy 3D would he really need to jump about?

A Dizzy that couldn't sumersault would be like something missing something that's really important.

There have been some Dizzy games like fast food dizzy or kwik snax or even Deltas - TLOD, which dont require jumping - but these are top-down view maze type games rather than platform games

Thats what I though..
I tried doing a Dizzy 3D game with him jumping about and his shape causes a few problems, everything need to be really wide for him to fit through..
It would of been more an adventure game, solving puzzles etc

I'll look into getting Dizzy to jump, the engine I'm using wasn't intended for 3rd person views so its all early days for that type of game
3 or 4 weeks ago the kid in the above game wouldn't even move lol

thx guys
