Hi all,
I have created a new poll on the Codemasters official forum for Dizzy to return on Xbox Live, PSN or to the handheld formats either with a new game or remakes of the originals.
So far only 3 people have voted so I thought I'd spread the word here. If we get enough votes I will send an e-mail to Codemasters to show them our interest. Hopefully if we get a lot of votes Coddies might re-consider maybe bringing Dizzy back, after all it is Dizzy that has made Codemasters who they are today. I think it's only fair the least they can do is re-release the old Dizzy games {dizzy}

The link to the poll is here...

Thanks everyone!

I'm not sure if code masters can.. isn't there some legal issues?

hah! it was codies that blocked it last time. don't see any reason why they'll change their mind.

anyway, am i the only person who feels that we may be better off with no new official dizzy games? for example, if they created a new one, would they still be so well disposed towards fan-games? or would they withdraw support due to copyright etc if there was a new official game? i have a sneaking suspicion that it would be the latter...

I prefer to see Dizzy officially revived, but that's my opinion. I don't mind seeing Dizzy in a 3D envoirment as long as handhelds like Nintendo DS keep Dizzy's original feel.

I do enjoy playing with DizzyAGE and the other Fangames, don't get me wrong.
It's just that I sometimes like the idea of playing Dizzy in a different adventure style, like a tad similar to the original Spyro series.
Again, this is just me thinking.

To be honest I think, like with the Sonic the Hedgehog games, Dizzy is best left as a 2-D game. If Dizzy was to return as a 3-D game it simply wouldn't feel the same and I don't think it would work. The Sonic games have suffered a similiar fate in recent years with Sega creating 3-D Sonic games and each has flopped.
This is why I think the original Dizzy games should be remade for handheld consoles or better still on Xbox Live and PSN, this would be the better option for Codemasters and The Oliver Twins instead of them creating a brand new game which would be hard to do as I think there are some legal problems why a new official Dizzy game cannot be made.
Surely remaking the original games or simply re-releasing them today wouldn't be that hard to do.

Yeah but there's releasing them, and "releasing them" though.

Not to totally discredit your efforts, but i can promise you that Codemasters would already be aware of the existing petition that's existed for sometime. If anything, everyone's efforts should just be centered on promoting that.

Not to mention...there's only four votes, with one of them being a no! haha

Just to copy and paste my thoughts on the matter... As it stands right now, i'd rather the brand wasn't relaunched to be honest. It's only going to shit on the leggacy (sorry) that the series has left behind. Without wanting to brown nose too much, but the guys working hard on new titles using Dizzyage are doing an amazing job keeping things alive as it is.

Yes the Dizzy Age remakes are superb I love them and are exactly as they were the first time they were released all those years ago.
I agree though that sadly, in spite of many of us wanting some kind of Dizzy comeback on to Xbox Live, PSN or the PSP/DS, I doubt very much it will happen, unfortunately.
The Dizzy Age games though are awsome, keep up the good work guys {yolkfolk}:music:
