ok - still not looking on here for any hints...I just want to check - can you make it impossible if you buy / sell stuff in the wrong order?...I've been nervous of buying or selling so far. Cheers!

I doubt it. Jamie was pretty thorough in his game play mechanics. Checked all my notes and can't find anything to suggest otherwise.

I know it's been ages since last post here, but I have the feeling I must ask about something.

But first – Jamie, great work mate :teethy: ! I've been playing Dizzy games numerous times for last 20 years, since my father showed me Fantastic Dizzy on his old Amiga. When I got older, I started looking for another similar games. Your work, not only with IID, but also with other games you created, gave me hundreds of amazing hours. Thanks for that!

About the IID – I completed the game a few times (really great references tho, ie. for Shakespearean characters, loved it), after that I've read all posts on this forum, to clear my thoughts about items like apple, ticking clock or gold key, but I never been able to find the use for item called A chimney pot. I mean – it's kinda well hidden, (at least nobody here mentioned they were able to get it), it's not one of items used only to cover the coins, so: does it have an use, or is it just a red herring, like the soggy ice cream cone, the mining helmet or screen titled "Hidden treasure?"?

I would really appreciate an answer from you or anybody else. 

PS. Sorry about my english, if I made some unforgivable mistakes haha :tongue:

Looking at my game notes, the Chimney pot (oddly in my notes just as 'Chimney') is only used to hide a coin. No other use.

I see that nobody has posted anything on this Help Tread for a really long time but I’m stuck at this game so I hope someone will respond. Anyway, I have just started this game a while ago and I’m stuck with: A sturdy crate, Indigestion tablet, Soggy ice cream cone, Welding kit, A crowbar, Strenghth potion, A step ladder and Reality goggles.Any help please?

This has always been one of my favourite games - here is the solution to your items Rin:

Use the sturdy crate on the castle tower platform
Use the indigestion tablet on the upper draogon
Use the welding kit on the mine truck
Use the crowbar on the rock in smuggler's cove
Use the strength potion to pull the rope up in the dungeons
Use the stepladder to climb over the castle turret (in the castle exit screen)
Use the reality goggles to see the real island
and ignore the ice cream cone, it has no use.

Some items do Rin, but not the ones I've mentioned. Not too certain where smuggler's cove is, but it may be under the castle.
