Well having spent days searching for a conversion tool ive got my music files into Ogg format for the game and fortunately not too big a size (will have to do anyway, no choice lol).

Ive now coded what is to be the last puzzle to the game, purely so I could do the ending, this is done in the main although not quite complete. Anyway its all working and all my music files all tested and working in the game, and I really like the music piece on finishing, a lovely piece and rather fitting {yolkfolk}:yahoo:

Thanks again with the help Jamie as I couldnt have done it otherwise.
Just the work with all the rest of the game inbetween now lol. Just doing
bits as and when get chance.

I was just wondering if anyone was gonna make a video guide on how to make their own tiles cos i've been struggling on this for a while,

How did you convert your music films? i tried before and had no luck :sad:

Yes took me ages finding one, most of them only do like 60 seconds, you have to pay. Manage to find an evaluation one which you can use for so many days then it expires. My music ones are about 300kb to 400kb, as good as I can get them.

Audacity is pretty good. converts almost anything. The link is on the dizzyage website

ermm i have no plans to, as there are a number of different tools that can be used. I usually use GIMP (GUI Image Manipulation Program) to do it. GIMP is free to download. You just need to make sure when saving as a .tga, that you change the two options it presents you with - untick 'RLE compression', and change 'origin' to 'top left'.

i just wanted to say that after watching these videos it really inspire me to make my own Dizzy game. it has given me a better understanding of how to use it.
Im gonna do a small game to begin with. Dizzy 3 1/2 part 2

Yes, the videos are excellent. I recently catalogued them in a play list and watched them all back-to-back, with a little re-winding to keep up with why the code works, etc :wink:

I've just re-uploaded the Tutorial Videos to youtube. Videos 4 and 5 are now one video each, rather than split into two parts each. Also I think the quality might be slightly better due to improved youtube uploading. Other than that, there's no difference.
