I don't really know who heath ledger is (other then his other work with Terry)
But he filmed all the 'real world' stuff and the other 3 actors take on the characters transformations in the 'other worlds' so some tweaking for the
story, it was lucky Terry was able to do it, poor bugger can't catch a break.. maybe he should go back to doing nonsense again.

But the filsm dones't seem to have a huge star in it.. just bits and bobs here and there.. lol butit cerratnly looks likes Gilliams best work.

Well i did see it, bit of a borefest to be honest, he wasn't very good.
But im not that familiar with him.. as i say only with his odd job with Terry, and even then he wasn't great.. lol

so meph even if you weren't a fan of brokeback mountain!!!!!!!!!!! it was everywhere when he popped his clogs - i did watch a little indie film [can't remember the title] where he played a junkie and i loved it - and i loved the dark knight, not because of ledger [although i did think he was good] but mainly because it went back to being dark - just watched the french film District 13 - great trashy action flick {yolkfolk}

It is a good film... The sequel is on the horizon too, starring some martial arts expert.

Let us know what u think Meph
I got the impression from the trailer that it looked weird and wonderful like one of his previous films: baron munchausen?

oh s**t i forgot to tune into this - how was it meph?
the other night i watched the russin film nightwatch - loved it - very original way of filming a vampire move with the dark and the light - heard there was a sequel - daywatch - but apparently it was rubbish - i'd still watch it though. {yolkfolk}

Wasn't worth tuning in to.
3 minute interview which just told us we we already know,
What a waste of time.. they could have just read the synopses and did alittle research themselves.. lol pathetic.. but then bbc 2 for you.

I actually like "Day Watch" better than "Night Watch". It's just a better movie in all aspects, even though it's slightly more traditional than "Night Watch".

There were some photos in the Metro newspaper of the place that inspired the main landscapes in Up. Can't believe places like that really exist... What an amazing planet we live on {yolkfolk}

dr parnasus isn't showing in my local so im yet to see it,
But I'll be seeing 9 this weekend.

I did watch Tideland last weekend and not sure what all the fuss was about, great film nothing to get excited over, it wasn't even that shocking if at all.

I should be supporting the new Mr fox film being stop-motion and we don't get many of them but its a boring book, with a even more boring cast, and the animation is average, and its design bores the life out of me.. i hope it does well without my support, maybe I'll rent the DVD or something.. i feel guilty not seeing it.

I enjoyed Mr Fox when I was at school - I loved Roald Dahl - I just hope they adapt Georges Marvellous Medicine, or the Twits!!
- Its the American cast that are putting me off Mr Fox and some of the other films like Matilda - Id always imagined the characters would have English voices - Tho I wouldnt have been surprised if theyd have americanised the animals from foxes and badgers to racoons and bears
BFG was the best Dahl adaptation Ive seen - but thats cos it looked like Quentin Blake style

Anyhow I saw Coraline last week on dvd - as stop motions go - that was pretty cool.

Has anyone seen Moon?

i have - rented it last nite coincidentally

Thought it was a good film - not much else to add really.
It felt to me like a cross between 2001 and that film where Tom Hanks is on an island with a volleyball - dont ask me why tho....

Yeah moon is good

I saw Avatar 3D this week - I enjoyed it, the effects were great and the plot was a little predictable but still fun. Theres also half naked aliens galore - if you like that sort of thing.... The missus wasnt too impressed tho.

My favourite bit was the floating mountains -Im sure I saw a poster similar to that scene years ago - anyone else remember it?

Anyway, it's Holmes and St Trinians next for me

As far as TV movies go - I also saw the third Pirates film on BBC Boxing day - wot a pile of cack....
I still think Bad Santa is the best xmas film of all time
And they had Bladerunner final cut last week - which was a treat, but Im sure they cut out the scene with the dancer and the snake
