I also get miffed at all the adverts, trailers and warning notices etc on DVDs especially the ones that you can't skip. So for stuff that I like to watch over and over again I copy them without including all the garbage. In the UK it's still legal under copyright law to make one backup copy of a DVD, providing you keep the original.
It also helps in the event of accidental damage, so you still have the original to re-copy if necessary, plus of course that some companies are tending to use cheaper quality DVDs with a limited 'play' life.
Of course, it is still illegal to switch your PC sound output from the speakers to a separate recording device such as a minidisc recorder, so I wouldn't recommend anybody doing that.
23:45 - Mary and Max 2009[R] Adult-themed claymation film about the 20-year pen-pal relationship between a girl living in Melbourne, Australia, and a man 35 years her senior living in New York.
Just remembered this thread! Anywho there's a great film on Film4 at 11.35pm, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, a pretty cool skateboarding vampire, worth a watch I think. {yolkfolk}
Not a bad film overall even though some of the characters were more black and white than the film (especially 'Bully Boy'). Loved the line early on from the young guy responding to Bully Boy when he said "But who made him a junkie".
Personally I do tend to prefer a bit more 'action' such as 'Train to Busan' from a South Korean director, where the zombies run faster than Usain Bolt
No I don't think so ...I have a friend with an MA in horror movies waiting for her to let me know if she's lent it to me in the past ....memory going, must be my age {yolkfolk}:guilty:
you people should watch the latest Joker Film, i loved it!! it is just so authentic , El Camino too , fitting end to a series (Breaking Bad) most of us enjoyed ...this year has seen some great movies.
