Way way back when I was first playing Dizzy on the Spectrum in '88 or so there were a few things that struck me.
When you go down the mine, and take a right above the haunted chimney you have the screen with the miner's hard hat and the spider. Beside the hard hat is a lump of rock, above the lump of rock there's a hole in the roof, suspiciously indicating that you MIGHT be somehow able to jump up through there.
If you go down the haunted chimney and carry along to the right there's another one or two of these openings up on the ceiling, but with no way of getting to them. I vaguely remember that I worked out that one was directly below the well on the start screen.
When you get to the screen with the 3 in 1 oil there's a hidden bit on the other side of the wall called something like "The Secret Passageway" with a bat and a life, but again there didn't seem to be any way of getting in there either from above, or the other side.
After 20+ years of wondering I have decided that I want an answer! {yolkfolk}:scratch:
I take it these are all just red herrings designed to confuse, or has anybody else here actually sussed out a way of getting up the holes or into the passageway? :teethy:
