Screenshots of Spellbound dizzy beta

After looking for some Amstrad action scans i was looking through some other magazines and stumbled across this preview of Dizzy's excellent adventures in your sinclair. The screenshots show a vastly different Spellbound dizzy with some sprite differences and names changes and stuff.

It's pretty interesting if you're into that kind of thing.

(it also makes me wonder if the dizzy games really were programmed on the spectrum first)

Yeah, I uploaded it onto the site's Scrap Book page over a year ago, along with one with Beta screenshots of Crystal Kingdom.

I would like to see any DizzyAGE user attempt redrawing Dylan, Denzil and Dora from the page scan :tongue:
I'm guessing this is how Crystal Kingdom got It's name after it was decided that Mystic Kingdom was to be called Spellbound instead perhaps?

After digging though Your Sinclair Rock 'n' Roll Years, I found this, which also shows some early screens:

Rather irritatingly, I couldn't find the YS article that the original screengrab in this thread came from.

thanks very much for posting this as i was never aware if it,
it interesting to see the different sprites.
