If you mean the question to be answered in the past tense as it is posed, then I think at the time he was so popular that people would have gotten into it, yes. Let's say right after Magic Land Dizzy, the Oliver Twins could have thrown out a back-story game or maybe one where you still play as dizzy but you explore the past history of his family. I think either of those would have been well received, and for those of us that played Dizzy all the time and had played all the games up to that point with gusto, it would have been a good way for us to get wrapped up even more in the Yolkfolk mythology.

I think he means present tense, and no, I don't think just casual players would appreciate it. All they want is a good game with an uncomplicated storyline.

I think wherever they call home, it's got to be better than the alternatives...
