Excalibur Dizzy (HELP THREAD)

I found probably bug in tree complex location. I can't go right because Dizzy is too big to go under platform and jump on platform is also not possible.
I'm stuck because on right is troll. and on left is death pit. I attach save from this location to test. Please, repair game

All I did was hold right under the platform and he squeezes through.

I'm still stuck myself at the moment, Do you use the Lubricant in the "Ghost in the machine" screen? Because that doesn't seem to work and I've got a head scratching feeling thats the only possible place I can think of {yolkfolk}:scratch:

Im stuck now too. Ive got 'Excalibur' but was too trying the lubricant on
the 'Ghost in machine' screen but yielded nothing. Cant get past the portcullis either. A number of the items dont seem to disappear when youve used them ie the axe for example - does that mean they are used again or not ?

re : Ghost in the Machine.

Think where there might be an object that could turn the gear wheels on the machine.

i got stuck on the other side of that spike pit and can't get back across... do i need to restart?

I basically can't do anything on this game. All I can do is keep going around in circles. The only objects I can find are the lubricant and the crank, neither of which apparently do anything yet. Falling through the quicksand seems like it should lead somewhere, since there are coins down there, but you die after a few seconds of sinking. There's obviously some way out of that but I can't get to anywhere to find an object to solve it.

There appears to be some kind of keyhole set in a tree in one of the rooms, but there is no key for it.

I literally cannot get anywhere, aside from going around in circles. I know there's something I'm missing, but I don't see it anywhere.

It's a shame because it really looks like a fun game, and I'd like to get into it and solve all the puzzles and find all the coins. But I can't even figure out how to get out of the first part.

If I remember rightly there are 2 {yolkfolk}:scratch: (maybe 1) keys in the game you just have to look for them.

The quicksand has an exit on the far right where the key you want can be picked up.

Thanks, I'll try that; although I do keep just dying in the quicksand. I can see what looks like a ledge at the top, but if I jump up, I go into a room that's all white and corrupted.

I'll keep trying. I don't give up that easily. I'll get there.

Hmm. No one has ever reported a white corrupted room before. Maybe the games data has got corrupted somehow. Have you tried downloading it again to see if it works ok?

The key is 2 screens to the right from this screen.

I am really stuggerling to find the Crank any help would be great.

I tried to follow the clue that was posted earlier about this but to no luck :cry:

("No Path Through"), I just get a white screen and the game stops responding.

No wonder I'm not getting anywhere.

Edit: Just tried downloading it again; still getting the white screen. I don't know what's happening or how to have it not happen.

what version of windows do you have?

also, it may be a good idea to save the game just before you get to the 'white' room, and send the save game file to macon (and possibly alex) so he can see where you're up to, and see if the same thing happens on his version.

I have Windows 2000.

I'll try sending a copy of the save file, then.

One save just before the problem.
If you're able to open the menu and do a save during the problem (in the white scree), that could also be useful, in case the game works fine for me.
