I have found 8 or 9 items , 15 coins and solved no puzzles.. lol only met the geezers in the train station and a pirate. I have no idea what i supposed to be doing.
Well im guessing i need o get that lift working.
Oh it says the library is locked but theres no message about the post office.. is this a bug? or is the post office now for show?
You will need to visit the post office later in the game but mainly was used as part of the story to explain and give reason why Dizzy wasn't at the party with the rest of the yolkfolk (we couldn't have dizzy coming down with fever as well lol)
Wonderful, glad you are & thanks...that was pretty speedy to get to the first floor from the train ride (unless you meant ground floor) {yolkfolk}:delight:
Definitely 1st floor, just found the troll, ha ha - poor thing! By a sheer stroke of luck I already had the first thing I needed for the causeway climb - otherwise it would have taken me a lot longer to figure out how to get it. Something tells me I've still got quite a long way to go....

This is optional, but with some customised ’tiles’ Colin sent me the collectable items when dropped against the background will now show better.

oh that's excellent, they were starting to annoy me!
This really is quite a stunning little game graphically! I've not had too much chance to play it, but I really do like the style of it, and I think it shows that no matter how many games you do, someone will always think of a different idea, or a new way of doing something (such as the treehouses).
Thanks Delta with the comments, hope you continue to see the rest of the game.
Regarding the tiles it was good of Colin to send his customised 'tiles' to me. My question would be, why aren't they part of the default set or should they be now ?
I haven't seen the custom tiles, however i'm guessing that they have a black outline around them, enabling them to be seen easier.
The reason the original tiles don't have that black outline is because DizzyAGE was originally made to be as faithful to the original games as possible. And of course the original games had items with black squares as backgrounds. Even in IID and WWD they still have that, although they may not in any future games of mine.
Personally I think that if someone wishes to give them a black border and re-colour them so that they stand out more, then that's up to them, and it's pretty easy to do so if they so wish. However I think DizzyAGE was primarily made to make games in the style of the Spectrum Dizzy games, so that's the reason why they have the black backgrounds, and why they don't look too good when you 'blend' them.

Yes I follow, so you either have to have the black backgrounds which I don't like and make opaque or not and just have the item itself without but then it's not easy to see them.
With the tiles from Colin it resolves both of those {dizzy}
