right i've been through the mine and not found the coins assuming there in the treasure chest but nothing i've got works on it :wall: the only items i haven't used yet are red statuette, cleaning fluid, legend of celeste, yellow statuette and flag and i've tried all of these everywhere any clues please :blush:

Oh, I just did this... the treasure chest has no lock, but it's not actually open... so you need to figure out how to get the contents out. Are you sure you don't have any other unused items? I can't remember where they came from...
I've now reached Celeste's Temple, and have no idea what I'm meant to be trying to do! I forget what the book said (something about Celeste liking flowers?) and now I can't read it! I've taken all the flowers there, but nothing is doing anything. Can anyone give me a clue?

i'm assuming from what you say above i don't have the item to open the chest! but i've been everywhere trying everything and can't get any other items and the only item i came out of the mine with was the spade! give me a clue as to what you used please {yolkfolk}:guilty:

Warning - really obvious clue:
You need something to blow the chest up... the object should be obvious if you have it... I can't remember where it came from - maybe one of the resort guests gave it to me?

I did, but they don't seem to do anything... I tried putting flowers in them, because it said they were flower shaped, but that didn't work. Then I tried poking a few things in them, and that didn't work either...
You have done the correct thing, but as frequently happens, each hole will only accept a certain colour

Now I have no idea what to do with the sacred crystal... I remember it being mentioned before, but I can't remember why!
I thought that I'd made the use of the shaped charge for the well fairly obvious as Dick the engineer says use a shaped charge for the well, as does the book in the library. But, perhaps the problem arises cos most characters only say things once. I'll have to think about that one for future games.
Also, I thought that the picture of Celeste with the flowers in her hair was a reasonable clue for the location of the flowers in the statues (taking into account the way they were facing).

I think the well thing was fine - I initially assumed I'd use the dynamite, and find something to shape the charge, but then it became obvious once I needed to blow up the chest! It would be nice if characters said things a few times, but usually in Dizzy games you have to remember what they said, so I don't think it's a real problem!
I was confused about the flowers because when I tried a few and they didn't work there was no message - usually in your games there would be, so I just figured I was wrong!

for me grandad the well was hard cause i thought i was going to have to do it where the soft earth is!!!!! and thought that charger was the thing to make the hole with, anyway a bit of confusion in a game is good!!!!!!!! I'm a bit worried now i might have to start again cause i haven't come across the sacred crystal although i've reached celeste's temple - the only things i haven't solved for the second time are the missionary and rosie and have tried everything i have on them!!! {yolkfolk}:guilty:

Hi guys,
Just started playing Part 2 a few days ago, after completing Part 1 and am now completely stuck. Having read previous posts, it looks like I am at the same stumbling block as Whynotsmile once was, vis a vis the coconut and splitting it.
I can only imagine that I need to supply an npc with the tool and the coconut, since Daisy can't use two items together in the inventory and I can't find anywhere to lodge the thing, so that it would remain stationary.
But if that were the case, I haven' t yet seen any hint as to which npc would be able to help with that ... ?
I'm hoping the solution has nothing to do with any of the wild animals, since the book that describes them is now out of reach behind the lion and I can only vaguely remember the information.

Hi eggfried, don't worry - the coconut problem is not to do with any of the animals (and you'll be able to get back to the book later anyway).
You need to think of a different way of splitting a coconut... you can't use any tools on it, so what else could you do? Imagine you were trying to do it in real life... what might you do if you had no hammer or anything?
About the animals, the book says something like:
Lions and hyenas are scared by loud noises
Monkeys will eat anything you give them
Rhinos attack anyone they see
You need to think of a different way of splitting a coconut... you can't use any tools on it, so what else could you do? Imagine you were trying to do it in real life... what might you do if you had no hammer or anything?

I guess if I had no tools, I'd try smashing the coconut against a wall or other solid surface ? I tried launching it from the coconut tree and inadvertantly discovered that I could smash the bottle instead and create a rubber bung, which stops up the water behind the monkey nicely .. but the nut remains unsplit !
I've attempted to break the thing against all the stone surfaces I can find and even jumping onto it from a small height or throwing the thing down the lift shaft in the jail, but nothing works !

Hmmm... did you try dropping it from the tree again? 'Cos I think that's what you're meant to do, as far as I remember...
Okay, figured it out in the end.
By trying to drop the coconut on every possible inch of the coconut tree and rocks below, I discovered that the flat rock is like a "table" according to the description you receive when you hit 'enter' there.
I put the coconut on the rock table and it stuck there, then I used the machete to cut it in half.

Looks like you finally got me, Grandad !
I was shrewd enough to avoid saving in the 'Trap Room' and after falling down the big pit in the mine, before rolling the rocks down there - i.e. leaving myself with no way to get back out, but I never foresaw that levering a boulder in another part of the mine would inadvertantly make a vital area inaccessible and thus render the game impossible to complete !
Unfortunately, since I saved just after moving the boulders I have two options : start the game again from the beginning or move on to a different one.
