Grandad - as Meph says lighting the fire should get you a bit further but you can also use one of your items on the happy gargoyle - have you "examined" the books properly as they give you good clues.

Meph - you need to use the miracle of the feast on the stone but you also need the item you want to multiply...

Meanwhile I seem to be getting nowhere fast on level 2, I have only solved the conflict witch and a couple of tarot cards (hanged man and magician) and don't seem to be able to unlock anymore areas. I was confident that the tins on the string went on the crystal of noise but apparently not!!

Addicted - Think what you used to use 2 tins on a string for as a child - when you find the correct place, it will be obvious where to use them. Similarly there will be an logical thing to use on the crystal of noise

Thanks for that (I can't wait to use them now!) - my problem is that I don't seem to be able to open any new areas and I can't get past the trap in the ground to get through to the other side of the path. I only have the crystal of noise and the mystical rings of saturn open to me at the moment...

I am (hopefully) near the end of the level, and I havent found a way to disable the traps yet, but eventually you will be able to get around that one, so dont worry about it - i think you must be missing some objects somewhere - unfortunately, this level is so large and so many items that i cant remember what comes next, sorry - but i do remember that you can solve the crystal of noise early on

You need to read the books closely as one item you have can be used on a gargoyle

Im stuck where to light/use the unlit lantern on lvl 3, any helpers?

sounds like you need to get into the alchemists hut - there is something near the mystics hut which will help

find a stone you have previously used, that looks like what you are trying to do (any ideas?). use it down under.

that's quite funny actually. As you can actually use it anywhere. You don't need to use it anywhere in the conventional sense of the word - it will light if you use it, no matter where you are in the level. :wink:

Thanks Addicted and Frog ...I should have been paying attention to the instructions as when I got a 'I can't use this here' message when I first used an item on the happy gargoyle I thought I had to place items on the granite stone next to it ...d'uh!!!

Now that I've fed the hungry man and have a mauve key, I'm ready to carry on adventuring.

Ok, I'm stuck again...

I have a scrap of paper (I'm glad I killed him), a map of the valley, potion of lies, wand of courage, a flower, kindness pendant, an empty bucket (used once), a spade, potion of dull senses, sorcerers hut key (can't find the hut), a tyre.

I'm guessing I should use the spade to dig the x but I can't get there as I've already used the potion.

Help!!!

{yolkfolk}:puzzled: what did you use it on? if you used it on the correct thing, you shouldn't be able to get back until you've opened a gate. if you didn't use it on the correct thing, well, you're outta luck!

I used it on getting to the area cut off by the trap. Then I got everything I could find and went back. Please tell me I don't have to do it all over again!

Gavlaa - its time to start again im afraid :sad: and as i discovered to my cost, you dont just restart the level, but from the very start {yolkfolk}:guilty:

Heres a little trick to get round Jamies one save - make a copy of the save file then if you get something wrong, rename the file back so it isnt the copy {yolkfolk}:thumb:

seems Jamie was amused by my previous help, so I was partly wrong on the lantern. when I played it, I used it there to light it. I didn't try elsewhere.

I know you need a piece of paper for the son. Can't remember where I got it. Have you completed all the games. Think it might be from O & X's

hmm if the potion had run out, you shouldn't have been able to get back across without dying...

I cant win on the o's&x's - is that game over?
My previous save game was midway through playing os&xs so what happens now?
