If you need some help Meph, give me a bit more info as there is no set pattern in solving some of the puzzles and I'll check my notes in a few hours when I need a break from Dizzy Oops.

It's a rather sad habit I picked up from the first Dizzy game I played (Treasure Island) as I tend to replay games and try and figure out the minumum route ...that and I usually forget where I dump stuff when you have loads of items to check out in a huge map :o_o:

Well last time i was paying i got humped by a sheep while bing told how unorganized a witch was.

and i haven't opened up any more parts of the game, been trying to use the earplugs on the monkey puzzles as its the only item i have that is usable at the moment but i don't even think that tree is in this section of the map.

But know I've finished Grogg i can come back for a bit and have another spell.

It won't give anything, you mix the ashes and dust

This gives you the reincarnation spray

Meph - the earplugs are used in the field with the gardener's hut.
You need to use one of the items got from the wizard in the west field on the wizard's hut tarot card for the key to open the r/h side of the spiritualist's hut to get to the field with the gardener's hut.

Ive been out and about recently looking to spot some real life Monkey Puzzle Trees - and Ive seen quite a few, theyre more common than I thought...

So, they're more prickly than the average conifer - and they sure might puzzle a climbing monkey - but what has this got to do with ear plugs etc?
I dont get where the legendary connection in CoTM to Monkey Puzzle Trees comes from - is it just me? :wall:

You haven't read the book...

Yes, I did read the book, thank you very much.
So where did this idea come from of a tree with a soul of a monkey that could not speak, hear or see evil?
There's no mention of this legend say on Wikipedia? And the bloke at the botanical gardens gave me a weird look when I asked him too....

Well the see/hear/speak no evil philosophy takes the form of monkeys in Japanese Philosophy, so if you make them into puzzles, they are therefore Monkey Puzzles

Ah so - very clever, you've taken 2 unrelated stories, made a connection and merged them to create your own unique legend to fit in with the Dizzy story - Eggcellent!!! {yolkfolk}:yahoo:

For those, like me, that care about such things (warning spoilers) - Monkey Puzzles Trees actually originated in Chile, but were not so named as Monkey Puzzles until discovered by an English botantist in Victiorian times - because it looked so prickly, he thought it would 'puzzle a monkey'.
Meanwhile the story of the 3 wise monkeys is completely unrelated and was first documented in 17th Centrury Japan and thought to be brought over to Japan from Chinese legend in the 8th Century
.... Thank you Wikipedia.... {eggs2}:denzil:

...and not forgetting the Grauniad crossword compiler 'Araucaria' who takes his name from the 'technical' name for the monkey puzzle tree.

Meph - trust your stomach is feeling a little better after stuffing yourself with all that comfort food. The item for the Time Wizard is out in the open by the path in the 'Village' which gives you the 'paranoia pendant' for the tarot card in the wizards hut, which gives you the key to the other part of the spiritualist's hut.

Nah there ain't any other items for me to collect..
i have.
electrical tape, upturned glass reincarnation spay, spade, earplugs. bucket of water, gemini pendent, sticking plaster, cracker, couple of potions, and some scraps of paper. don't think i have anything else

Also tarot cards i haven't done are Hermit, world and moon, theres a stone with a circles on it, a witch, the time wizard and monkey tress.. there might even been more i can't remember them all.. lol

Tiny little push in the right direction would be much appreciated.. :teethy:

Really struggling with this game, either I've gotten stupid or it twice as difficult as the first chapter .

Tiny little push one; read the book on astronomy about the moon and think of dinner parties.

Tiny little push two; you can't drink out of an upturned glass, but Doris Stokes would have liked it.

hi,need help again please.
i have 7 letters,2 papers,3 clue notes,2 maps,pen,tube,lantern and books.
i think the next move is the word game,as it's the only one i did'nt do but i can't figure it(if 'beware the witches' is a clue i don't get it).
as far as i can see ,exept the word game the only 2 things i did'nt do are the renowel stone and the king's son.

The Scrabble game is Beware of the witch's prophecy. You have to drop the letters standing underneath them.
