Any problems, I'll try to help. Though the testers probably know more about it than me now.

Gaz, if your finding these games tough, you're not alone. Its a bit like watching people struggle on 'crystal maze' - only obvious when you know the answer!!!

Sometimes it just takes patience and perseverance, and trying all items in all possible ways. Other times you can build from experience and notice a recurring theme - puzzles similar from game to game.

For this game - I think its been designed that nothing here is hidden or too cryptic. Things want to be solved in a logical order without any hidden traps. And if something looks a little unusual or interesting then it usually is.

So to get past the bear, try to use what you've already got.... if you havent got it yet, have some fun wandering around looking for things.

I've had several laughs whilst playing the game today, like the chaos I caused at the governor's house

Anyway I'm a bit stuck now, I found 7 pieces of eight and I have the following items.

catapult, silver jug, sharp knife (used once), feather, candle, crucifix, numbers, scaffolding and a lighter.

This is definitely one of the funniest Dizzy games I've played in a while - the entrance to the Governor's House is classic! I'm enjoying the level of difficulty, the graphics are superb, and I like that it flows well - I never seem to have too many items at once, so there's not so much trudging about trying random items eveywhere!

I'm stuck as well though - a little bit earlier than Adz.

I have: silver jug, bucket, banana, crucifix, numbers and a lighter

I've a feeling I need to either sort out the Governor thing or the gardener next, but there are lots of other things I haven't done yet either - entered the cellar in the lighthouse keeper's house, the wine cellar, Dylan, Dozy, going over the waterfall, lighting the fire for the roast - can't think what else!

Any help appreciated!

Don't want to give too much away as there are some lovely problems in this game and you do have to remember Huck's quirky sense of humour.

AdzM - a bit of light in the right place should help you progress.

WhyNotSmile - think of something that is very useful to a gardener.

Thanks Grandad - I'm a bit further on now!

Andy - stopping the bell should have given you access to a few new screens - see what you can find there!

OK, not much that further on - I can't figure out what to do with the trousers! I assume I need to clean them, but I've tried dipping them in water and it hasn't worked. I can't think of any use for them! Please help!

Thanks for all the nice comments. I hope it's not making you pull your hair out too much (apologies if you're bald already).

You'll have to find a use for the keg. Think who, stereotypically, would want it most. Sorry all of you Jocks! out there! I love you really :teethy:

You can also use the numbers if you have found the right place.

No that this has helped me progress any further than you have! :wall:

Right, well I have got a bit further now, have now got gardners bible, crucifix, sharp knife (used once), catapult (used once), lighter (used twice), scaffolding, hammer, photo of daisy, camera (used once obviously!!), silver jug and feather and am now a bit stumped
I can see a key in the jungle, and something in a small hole, neither of which i can reach, and loads of stuff under water.

Still cant light the fire under the roast pig (or is it a sheep Delta?? ), get rid of the ghost, be noticed by the guy on the Governor's wall, get into the mines, or give the Grog pirate what he wants and theres bound to be more puzzles i havent realised yet

Loved the waterfall - its almost a shame i have now activated the taxi service, so i dont need to go over it any more!

Some very nice puzzles, with not many obvious in game clues, which does ramp up the difficulty a bit, but they have been logical once youve worked them out. And of course it looks GREAT.

Well done, and thanks for all the hard work, Huckleberry!

Got myself stuck now.
unused items. Feather, cross, numbers, catapult, scaffold, jug and camera i think i's used the lighter and knife once.

not sure what direction i should be looking into.

FrogandHat - one of the items you have is very useful if you can remember a conversation with someone. Here's a rather oblique clue - think of a hit by Peter Andre ..or if you're really old, Acker Bilk.

Meph - in the same vein, a hit by Blondie ...or Joe Brown.

You can use the numbers if you are in the right place - it is not immediatley obvious, but if you think about what a collection of numbers could be if you were Raffles, and where you might use that type of thing if you wanted to keep it secret.

Grandad - i am too old for Peter Andre (thank goodness) and not old enough for Acker Bilk!!
There can be many times those two have been mentioned in the same sentence! :teethy:
But i am plenty old enough to not remember old conversations!

Edit: Aaah - would it be Lonely?
