Grogg Island Dizzy (HELP THREAD)

I never seem to have too many items at once, so there's not so much trudging about trying random items eveywhere!

Hah! Eat your words WhyNotSmile, I am about half way through with 21 coins, and i have been tramping around for MILES! :teethy:
And as for objects, i have scaffolding, sand, jug, hammer, feather, crucifix, dry fuse, ships wheel, gardners bible, old boots, blanket, detonator, fully tempered sword and scuba gear as well as loads of other objects I have used at least once to get this far!

Puzzles i have yet to solve:make the ring, village chief, key i cant reach, barman / entrance to his cellar, platform that is out of reach and probably others that I dont even realise yet! I am now struggling with what to do now. Any ideas please ?

EDIT - made the ring! :teethy: and now got into the cellar and sorted the chief, got land deed, empty bottle, bicycle wheel

Got into the mine now and also comes across that ladder item, up to 13 pieces of eight {yolkfolk}:dizzy:

I've now got 27 pieces of eight, but it isnt getting any easier!! And whats worse is that there are still 13 to find {dizzy}:frown:

Huckleberry - I have done what you suggested, but it doesnt appear to have done a lot, as it didnt appear to be dangerous anyway! i have now tried all the objects i have either on it or to the side, and none of them did anything. the only other object i can see is hidden out of my reach in the nest. {yolkfolk}:puzzled:

The Armorog is roasting nicely, I can almost smell it from here! :drool:

EDIT: now got second banananananana too. not that it helps! Hes a violent little beggar isnt he?

Totally stuck now,

I have in all, objects of Sand, blanket, spade, sharp hatchet, claw hammer, 2nd banana, belaying pin, camera, sharp knife, feather, catapult, crucifix & lighter. Have used the Scaffolding.

Been in the mine, the tribe village, in the pit with the out of reach area. Think I know what I have to do here but not got the items.

Reading through do I now need to have the scuba item ?

Any hints be welcome with what I have as to where I should be concentrating on.

Seen your reply frogandhat. I see, ive got the scuba item now and the soggyfuse, I need to find a place where to dry it im assuming, so im trying at the moment the flame areas...I thought I had to knock that wall down before but seems you have to blow it up .

I'll see with what you mentioned if I get that far. 24 pieces of eight now.

EDITS:- Hah ha, the devil is in the detail, found the place with the screen name whilst near the cauldron/cooking area {yolkfolk}:rollseyes:

A new version that fixes the plant and log screens is on its way. You're supposed to be killed by the plant and unable to cross a log. So if you don't want to cheat don't cross the log without using the item :smile: Save games from the previous version won't work. Sorry for that.

It's a little firepit. If you look closely there's some coal there. Just decoration though.

Where are these exactly, are you meaning the hungry plant ? Would I have already got pass these without realising if you are meant to be killed but they haven't ?

The hungry plant should kill you. Once you've cut Dylan free you can get to both sides of it. It's just there as an annoyance unless you disarm it. The log is in a screen called "Slippy Log" after you've used the dynamite. You should have to complete that one before getting further.
