My third & next game to be developed during the rest of the year & possibly going into 2011

As some time has now passed Dizzy & Daisy finally got it together and you will be playing as Dizzy Junior following in his fathers adventurous footsteps. And as such Dizzy Senior and Mother Dizzy Dolores make their first appearance.

SACRED WORLD DIZZY
The Adventures of Dizzy Junior

Historical Background:-
Yolkfolk Legend communicates in it's in historical scripture that each of the living yolkfolk are celebrated in life with a stone tablet of them attached to a memorial structure. The stone tablet remains in place until the particular yolkfolk member dies where they are then entered into the Parish Registers in the Sacred Church & are replaced when the next yolkfolk generation enters the world. The memorial structures reside in the Yolkfolk Heritage Site, the most sacred part of Yolkfolk (through the Sacred Gates). The legend has it that if all stone tablets aren't in place then after 7 eggs days terrible storms will brew, deadly disease & plagues will ensue until the Yolkfolk are wiped out. The stone tablets are considered extremely sacred for the well being of the Yolkfolk & are linked to the statues of them on the Sacred Wall.

Story:-
Dizzy Junior just wants Daddy Dizzy to play footbal with him, but the statues on the Sacred Wall of the Yolkfolk have all been blacked out, just leaving silhouettes, the Yolkfolk have been erased from history as all the stone tablets have been removed. Help Junior on his first adventural quest to find and replace all the stone tablets to the correct memorials and thus restore each of the Yolkfolk to be dipicted on the Sacred Wall...to avert disaster and so Dizzy will eventually play football with him.

of which I decided only to hide 5 of them

Warning/hint !! There are 2 possibilities where you could become trapped

interesting, is that an actual message box, or just a tile?

EDIT:: also, not sure about the football, it's a little bit out of keeping

Hi Jamie, it's an actual message box, nifty isn't it lol..I was rather impressed with myself for managing to do it.

Well sons often play football with their fathers
I'll rephrase, any positives ?

I'll give you a positive - I've extremely impressed with that message box! Only just figured out how to put pictures in them myself!

others - mainly that I do like the graphics, again, they look very good!

regarding the football, i meant that the style of it isn't like the speccy style of most of the other graphics, that's all. Not got a problem with there actually being a football.

Oh have you, well thanks for your comment on that then as I do see you as the DizzyAge Coding Master, I was pleased to have created that though have to say.

I do try to work hard to give a good aesthetic feel to a game (obviously whilst trying to maintain good gameplay too)

I do agree in that regard yes, plus I struggled a bit to get it really spherical but was as good as I could do...

I was pleased to have created that though have to say.you should be, it's pretty advanced coding!

I do agree in that regard yes, plus I struggled a bit to get it really spherical but was as good as I could do...yeah, I just tried to have a go at doing one in just black and white, and quite frankly it looked crap!

Adz.M to the rescue I suppose

Going through the World of Spectrum, I actually came across a football that pretty much matched the height of the football from your screenshot.

I just happen to be bored right now hence my sudden post

mine was about the same. hate to say it, but it really doesn't look too good

Looking great, cool hud.
You can tell it's your game from just one screenshot.. i like that.

A note about the football.. couldn't you just use one of the round sprites normally used for the treehouse floor and just re colour it with whatever image program you use?

I think the real problem is getting the 'spots' looking right on it. drawing a round object isn't a problem, although getting it to look spherical is virtually impossible at that size and resolution.

Yes probably a good idea, I searched for an image of a football then tried to work it to a tile..

Yes very true, I took an image of a football as I thought that may help with the spots to try create the tile..but yes at that size and resolution it's as you say, otherwise the football would be bigger than
junior {yolkfolk}:joy:
