Hiding coins

How do i hide a coin behind something so when the item is picked up the coin shows?

That sort of helps but im trying to hide a coin behind a something you can pick up and as you pick it up the coin then shows but i cant work it out :sad:

I used to just place the coin, then place the item on top of it :tongue:

but yeah, I do use layers these days.
