Am I right in saying that Jamie and Phillip failed to guess this title before I posted this? {yolkfolk}:raspy:

I knew that but didn't want to spoil it for others.

Looking very good!

one thing, you should use ResHacker to change the icon of the dizzy.exe file to the icon you included in the zip file

Yep, it's on DizzyAGE too

This looks really great and it's just in time for Halloween - I think I'll have a lot of fun with it. Many thanks!

Great atmosphere.. enjoying it so far.
I've found 3 pumpkins.

Trying to get past the ghosts and mouse traps at the moment, probably need an item.

also you might want to put doors so the player can see them, i thought i was walking into an invisible blocker and you had a bug.. i didn't realize it was meant to be a locked door. lol

I got past the mousetraps and one of the ghosts, but the others killed me when I was no-where near it, so I gave up for tonight.

Erm, yeah, ResHacker you say? Ahem, err... {yolkfolk}

(as usual Pogie needs a little help)

google it, then download it (or get it from here)

open it up, and drag the .exe file into left left hand side of it.

click the + next to 'icon group'

click the + next to 101

left click 1033

right click 1033, choose 'replace resource'

click 'open file with new icon' and choose the icon file you want to use

click 'replace'

go into the 'file' menu and click 'save'

the change may not show up straight away, but that will have changed the icon. It will also have created a new .exe file called dizzy_original, which is just a copy of the original in case you didn't like the changed one.

Trying to get past the ghosts and mouse traps at the moment, probably need an item. Yes you do need 4 objects by the looks of it, one for each of the ghosts ( I have only found 1) and one for the mouse traps (this and the first ghost obect are fairly obvious)

Oh how typical! I usually check the site most mornings just to see what's been happening and what have I missed in less than 24 hours - a new game has been posted with 19 downloads, and one person has almost finished it already. Feeling a tad smug are we FrogandHat {yolkfolk}:yo: (the icon is mean to represent 'who's the daddy').

So, now I've downloaded it and had a quick look around and just thought I'd say 'Nice one Pogie'. The music is just right and I really liked the conversations with the hotel manager and plant as it's adding a bit of depth to the storyline. I also liked the little extra comments when trying to open the bedroom door with the wrong item rather than just 'dropping' the item. I think I shall enjoy restarting this game a number of times.

Btw there's a hidden screen - did you find it?

Was it where the Apple is? or maybe where the bird flies off to?

I'm a newbie here, hi everyone!

Great game, Pogie! I love it! Just perfect for Halloween, and all the little touches are brilliant... ghostie windowcleaners is inspired!

I am a bit stuck, though, been at the same point for AGES, could anyone offer me any tips??

LOOK AWAY NOW FOR SPOILERS! I hope I'm not breaking any forum rules here!

I can't seem to satisfy the princess... I thought as she was enchanted by a vicar the unholy water might be the thing, but no... and the boil oil? Boils to replace her warts, maybe? But no... have tried everything in my inventory!

The princess, the large bird, the draft under the die-ning table, how to reach the golden item (given the ghosts the other two) behind where the mummy was, the troll I nicked the saucer from... all got me stumped!

Any hints as to where I'm going wrong greatly appreciated! I have to help that final ghost, I feel so sorry for him!

Many thanks!

EDIT: Whoops! Just noticed the separate help thread. Apologies! I'll post there

EDIT: Completed the game! Phew!

That was brilliant! Really inventive and just the right size! LOVED it!!

welcome to the community dora! {yolkfolk}

you weren't breaking any forum rules, but there's usually a help thread for most fan games. Using spoilers is good too.
