Oh I see, he wants gold... so I guess that didn't help me progress :0) 3 items left on the ledges, plus jar of dust, cards (item #5 I'm guessing), tape recorder, spanner, bread crumbs, and it's raining...

Kirkub, The cab driver says that it will take a lightning bolt to recharge his battery, so you need to give him something to shove in his battery that will attract a bolt of lightning whilst it's raining. Hey, how about a 'lightning conductor'? {dizzy}:dizsmile:

PS - did anybody try to set fire to the bird nest?

Thanks all, I actually got past the point of the clues after restarting the game (I can't believe I missed the lightning rod!!!)... so the sun is shining again, and I'm guessing the pot is at the end of the rainbow, but I can't get back to One Tree Hill. I only have the jar, cards and the tape recorder left. Should I start clicking obsessively on everything, because I missed an object? {dizzy}:dizsmile: I'm definitely "special needs" this week... :wall:
Also, am I the only one who hasn't finished the game? Grrrr!

That's odd, cos I didn't set any restrictions on travelling to One Tree Hill once the cabbie's battery was charged. He should take you there regardless of the weather (and I've just checked my coding). When you action him, what response do you get?

If the jar is empty, then you need to fill it with something.

Grandad: the jar has dust in it, and once the sun is shining, when I action on the cabbie, I get my inventory and "Don't Reckon That Will Help" message.
Did I invent a bug just on my computer? :smile:

Oh, vast amounts of cussing and apologies Kirkub, you've found a bug. It happens when you give the cabbie the lightning conductor when it's raining. When the rain stops, he switches back to his normal uniform, but I forgot to update his 'status', so 'technically' he's still waiting for the lightning conductor. It works fine if you give him the conductor before it rains ..but that's no help to you. I'm really sorry.

I'll either do a quick fix (one line of code) and upload a new version ...or fiddle around and add a few more coins just for the hell of it.

Woohoo, I've found a bug! *squash*
I think you should fix and reupload. The competition voting hasn't started yet and MANY more people will download the game! Considering I didn't think of the conductor UNTIL it rained, there may be other special people like me who will do the same.
I'll gladly replay from the beginning though. Cheers!

OK, bug fixed and added some extra coins, plus added a cheat for the boulder run and have just uploaded it to Alex and Adzm as version1.1. The map has changed so old save games won't work.

Yes, tut tut indeed F&H, as punishment you should download the new version and see if you can find all 20 coins and the cheat for the boulder run ..mainly put in for Prince, cos of his dexterity issues.

Yes, I have found all 20 coins now! (not sure how I got one of them, I was keeping a list and suddenly found I had 8 coins but only 7 locations?)
Didnt find the boulder cheat, i thought I had as I assumed the Denture glue might help, but couldnt find a use for it anywhere.

Did get another bug though!
when speaking to the mall security guard after speaking to the queen, after his speech I got a GS9 error - will email you screen dump

My memory is getting like Grand-Dizzys ...I changed Grand-Dizzy's sofa to take away the coin I was going to put there to the denture glue, but as I changed the reference that's why the error occurred with the Mall Guard. I'll change it and resubmit it. It's only one line of code so old save games will still work (provided you haven't already spoken to the guard after leaving the castle).

I'm not giving out any hints about the 'cheat', but it does make logical sense.
