Odd, I'll have to check that out as the 'collide' to set the robber in motion is only enabled when you've spoken to Pam and is then disabled as part of the 'cut scene' and the 'collides' on the casino guards are then enabled so that when you walk past either of them you talk to the casino boss and get the object that contains the item Dylan needs ...which then opens up the game a lot more so that you can get the hints from the library and the churchyard about a lot of items that seem to have no current use.
I'll also check out joining the library as that part is only 'fades' and leaving the library should just take you to the street (perhaps I need to add a PlayerEnterScripted command to stop you walking off in the middle of a conversation)
You need to visit the library for a clue what to do with a lot of your items.
Have you not found anything that squeaks yet - there are 2 items, I think you have probably sorted one of them - but the other is in the Mall somewhere. Sorry, clue cant be any longer, I have to go.... {yolkfolk}:ill:
I have nothing that opens up the first floor of the mall, and nothing to remove the sick from the ceiling. Also, I haven't yet done anything with the rat.
Oh and I know what to do with 5 of the items, but I don't know where to do it.
right, this is very odd. I've managed to put the fruit machine on the second to last blue plinth, but I have no idea why I can put it there. I thought I needed to place leaves fish rocks birds cheeses twice. What does a fruit machine have to do with any of them? {yolkfolk}
ok, getting this done by sheer trial-and-error now. The order (left to right) is: mirror, book, clover, fruit machine, cards. Although I'm buggered if I know why they should be on there like that, as there were absolutely no clues about them.
Yes there was. The clue for the first layout is from the book in the library. The second layout is mentioned on the scroll in the churchyard behind the grill by the petrol pump which refers to the numbers on GrandDizzy's cards: "THE FIRST FIVE ARE TARROW FROM LEAST TO MOST, THE SECOND A LAYOUT FROM AN ELDERLY HOST" ...and of course the items are a 1 armed bandit, a 2 way mirror, the 3 'R's book, the 4 leaf clover and a 5 card trick.

I'd long forgotten what the book was about, and assumed early on that the numbers on the cards was the order that you had to place everything in. {dizzy}
You still don't seem happy about that puzzle Jamie, but I really didn't think it was that obscure. Annoying, yes, in that if you placed any of the ten objects in the wrong order or the wrong plinth they transported to the churchyard. The tarrow book was re-readable to get the layout for the first items and I deliberately got the locum teacher to say the numbers on Dylan's cards to attempt to show that Grand Dizzy's card numbers were also important. Then gave a further hint in the chruchyard scroll.
The denture glue is only important if you have trouble with the 'boulder run' as you can leave the dungeons and go and talk to the vicar.

I realised that his cards had the order of the second items quite early on. I think the issue I had with it was because it said that items had to be placed on the stones twice. Thus I thought it meant the same items in a different order. So naturally I wondered where they'd got to after the first time, thinking I had to use one of the other items to get them back somehow.
Anyway, now I'm a bit stuck in the castle, I don't seem to have enough candles (needing a red, blue, and two yellow ones. I already have a yellow and red, but they don't work on the areas I need them to.)
yeah I've found the blue candle that was hiding in the background.
Now trying to get past the boulder run, but she keeps rolling off the first ledge. I can't stay on that second ledge, and if I jump any earlier I don't even get to the ledge!
EDIT:: past that now (thanks to the cheat). Have 17 coins, need more.
